Dark and rich, with plenty of red and black fruit, cocoa, cassis, and oak, I thought that for me the taste was a little overpowered by charred oak and could use more time in the bottle, however of the four of us, the two women preferred this wine over the more subtle but stunning 2018 Schrader CCS. |

This wine is perhaps on the downward slope. Still a nice with good complexity with good balance however I personally prefer slightly more youthful cabs with a bit more backbone. The older fruit is apparent. Drink up and enjoy for sure don't decant. PNP. |

That allowed some of the funk to blow off, and allowed the licorice and berry flavors to shine through. Charcoal, and some plum layered in there also. Definitely needs the 30-45 minutes to settle down. |
