On the nose and palate, moderate notes of green apple, red pear and lesser bits of white melon and lemon, fallen leaves, brioche, and marzipan. Small bubbles, nice, fresh mousse, a bit tightly wound. Very nice complexity, persistence and intensity. Definite step up over the Gosset if not quite the Cristal for me. |

The wine is open now, shows fine, deep citrus, lemon notes, some white fruit, minerality and a touch of Krug nuttiness. It does not yet have a decadent texture and deep complexity further ageing will bring, but is already drinking great. One can only imagine how good this will be in 10 (or 20, 30) years. |

Some fruit (bruised apple, pear) but most tertiary notes, brioche dominant. The palate is a brioche, citrus, green apple, slight citrus on the finish. Lovely, though generally terrible QPR if I’m being honest. Great wine, but for the price, there are so many great Champagnes. |
