The carneros sourced grapes deliver a nice but not overwhelmingly floral nose. Texture is smooth, and the wine is well balanced, though it is perhaps a bit more bland than the previous vintage. |

11/9/2013 - missionpk Likes this wine: 91 pointsI think this is a good balanced CA take on a Bordeaux Superior. You get the same fruit and dry wood tannins, just a bit bigger in all dimensions. More classic, in a sense, then a lot of the lower end Cabernet from CA, as the fruit doesn't really dominate over the structure. |
