Although I have tasted 1976 late harvest Hugel Pinot Gris, I had never had a dry one with this sort of age, and I was amazed by its freshness. Alsatian Pinot Gris can have incredible mouth feel, but with aging, I think the Rieslings retain much more flavor interest. |

Hugel does an amazing job with this type of wine, and I say this as a skeptic when it comes to this varietal. |
