6/11/2023 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsDrank it Pnp and though it was a bit tight, it softened after some time in the glass and open bottle. I would suggest a short decant if opening in the near future though. Drinking well, but not quite as good as other vintages of the Myriad NV IMO. |

6/4/2023 - flwinos wrote: 93 pointsPnp. On the nose, floral components jump out of the glass, light vanilla, cherry blueberry. On the palate, anise, vanilla, cherry raspberry. Great finish that is fruit driven. 10 year old Robert Craig drinking well right now. |

5/21/2023 - flwinos Likes this wine: 92 pointsPNP (don’t think Longhorn Steakhouse has a decanter…lol). Nice dose of oak treatment (vanilla) on the nose, sweet cherries. Palate is red fruit predominant - ripe raspberry, underripe cherry. Nice finish though still some tannins present. Drinking really well if you enjoy a good new world cabernet. Another nice wine (albeit entry level) from Mike Smith. Paired well with a “Flo’s filet”. Cheers! |

9/9/2022 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsPopped and poured. Expressive nose. Red and blue fruits predominant. On the palate, this is like a battle between cranberry and bing cherry, each alternating to be the dominant flavor. Medium plus acidity. Oak treatment is noticeable but balanced. Finishes with a touch of orange peel and some white pepper. An enjoyable wine, though as midtownmac noted, hard to find a lot of Syrah notes at this time (still a young wine though). |

7/31/2022 - flwinos wrote: 93 pointsPopped and let breathe for about an hour before serving at cellar temp. A bit tight after the hour mark. Blackberry, and blueberry on the nose. Fruit forward on the initial entry with blackberry at the forefront. Tails off at the back end for the first hour or so. |

7/31/2022 - flwinos wrote: 94 pointsPopped and let breathe about an hour before serving at cellar temp. Really amazing and expressive nose, with cherry, baking spice, hint of nutmeg, and pomegranate. The palate, still some tannin that resolved after a little more air time, but much of the same on the palate as the nose in terms of fruit. This was gushing with juicy cherry and raspberry fruit with a long finish. This is the type of experience that makes the patience of cellaring wine so worth it! |

1/9/2022 - flwinos wrote: 94 pointsDecanted for 1.5 hours and it needed about 4 hours before it really started hitting its stride. Significant tannin hid the fruit until about the 4 hour mark. Delicious wine though, but I would hold for a few more years and if opening now, a longer decant is necessary IMO. 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

11/21/2021 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsPop and let breathe in bottle, but I drank a glass of this when I opened the bottle. Fruit was front and center. After a few hours of air time, this gained weight and the acid took over the fruit. I preferred this as pop and pour right now - after the air time, it was not as good IMO. Interesting to see the progression of this wine. I have 5 more, so curious where this will go. |

11/21/2021 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsOpened and tasted right away. At first the acid and tannins in this wine were front and center, and were bullying the fruit to the point where it was hiding. Cranberry, sour strawberry. So I threw it into a decanter for about an hour. After the hour, it was a great pairing for a grilled prime NY Strip. After dinner though, the fruit came to the forefront as this mellowed out a bit. Really interesting to taste this over a 4 hour period. My suggestion is to decant this wine for 1.5 to 2 hours before drinking. |
