Not quite as exuberant and satisfying as the 05 but still a fantastic value offering aromas of black olive tapenade, subtle traces of soil and black cherries, and a clean but short finish. Great w food but the wine is smooth and just ripe enough to go it alone. Very pleasant mouthfeel here. While the 05 is decadent enough to drink nicely into the early 2020's, I would put the 06 into play by 2018. Know by then the fruit will have boarded the train and left the station and may have turned a bit leafy.
