Aromas de fruta madura (predominio de frutillos del bosque), marcados tostados de la barrica aún por pulir un poco más pero que ya se van integrando en el conjunto, sobresale un intenso abanico de especias (pimienta negra en grano, pimentón con algo de clavo), notas balsámicas (eucalipto) con ligeros toques anisados, suaves recuerdos de paja y cuero húmedo, toques de hojarasca y un fondo de terruño que le aporta cierta rusticidad. Buena entrada en boca, manifiesta astringencia que, sin embargo, no llega a molestar, sabroso, buena estructura, fruta madura, buena acidez, tostados bien presentes, se bebe bien pero tiene bastante potencia, amargoso, amplio y persistente. Final largo, postgusto de fruta madura y retronasal ahumado.

Initially this had a weenzy bit of bitter on the finish, but that seems to be softening with some air. I would suggest decanting this to give it time to breathe. Would be especially nice with any light fare like fish or salad. I would buy it again if available and I don't normally like whites. :)
