No detailed notes other than to say this this is drinking beautifully. If you're sitting on a number of bottles, make sure to check in on the 2014 now to witness a moment of early maturity that is breathtaking. It's rich with dark red fruits, plums, leather and dusty rose. The tannins are present yet sweet and rounded all under an air of balsam herbs. Really fantastic stuff and with years of development in-store for us all.

Decanted for sediment. Medium dark garnet color. Nose of ripe red cherry, licorice, a bit of sweet baking spice and cedar cigar box. Very nice. Similar flavors on the palate with good concentration of red fruit. Medium+ acid, chewy tannin and a drying finish. Definitely enjoyable now with some air and food but plenty of life ahead and will likely be better in another 2-3+ years.

Popped and poured; no formal notes. Please refer to @Antonio Galloni note for this wine from February in 2018. We’re now in 2022 and he absolutely nails it. I literally have nothing to add other than I’ve had this bottle in my cellar since release and it’s aging at a glacial pace. Bravo!

Thin amber rim on medium red. Sour cherry, faint wood, cherry candy nose. Palate has cherry, spice cake, sweet feeling followed by good acid and slightly spicy finish. Solid but not deep or complex enough to be impressive. I have to say it is disappointing to cellar these bottles for a decade and have this experience. the next day the last glass from the bottle shows a little more depth and concentration.

Immediately generous and giving on the nose. Loaded with sappy orchard fruits and cut with grapefruit acidity. It is dense and intense with a chalky base. Rich and powerful it fills the mouth with flavour but is light on its feet. Flavours drive on and on.

We drank this over 3 days, and its still growing and growing. Wow, so happy about it and so sad about the fact this won't be continued. This is great! Renato Vacca was one of the already big stars and still rising big stars in Barbaresco region. People who knew him were all attached and descriped Cantina del Pino as one of their favorites. The 2016 is very structured. It has huge potential, maybe the biggest ever from all the Barbaresco Ovello that have been produced. Deep and bright at the same time. Keep it! It's worth to wait! 95 for sure, maybe even more...

A beauty. When this wine has a good year it's easily 1er cru quality and I like it better than the Morey. Haven't had the Morey this year yet but this is about as good as the Chambolle's ever been. Bright hue bordering on magenta but the fruit is deeper and more developed, slightly plummy with a texture of pure Chambolle lace. The wood is a bit raw but shouldn't need long to absorb.

This is evolving beautifully, and already turning secondary as the tannins have softened and the fresh red fruit flavors have opened up nicely since release, about five years ago. The fruit is accented with rose petal, light tar, white spice, and a surprisingly assertive herbal streak that I really enjoyed. Shows good, elevated acidity throughout. This wine is full of life and verve, and has a hard to find balance of elegance and power. Good versatility too, as it has enough fruit to drink well on its own, and also does well with food.

Inaugural vintage for this wine, going in to G Fenocchio’s Barolo Classico beforehand. The vineyard is just across from where Cannubi/Cannubi and Cannubi Boschis meet. Vines here about 30 years old.

Dark in colour. On the nose quite expressive showing notes of red and dark fruit, spices, earth, minerality. On the palate good fruit, great acidity, very powerful and grippy tannins. Quite tight and firm towards the finish. Very long and lingering. Lots of structure, great fruit underneath, but needs more time. 92-93+

Consumed on a night with no power, no lights and not a lot of sleep the previous two days, so take this with a large grain of salt. I found the wine rather hard and unyielding. It gave glimpses of what I normally find in M-G Bourgogne, but just didn't want to come out and play, even after being open a few hours. I was only allocated a few bottles, so I don't want to go back to the well again very soon. Will probably wait several years before trying again. Chalk it up to another reminder that 2020 just sucks.

Appearance - medium ruby. Clear

Nose - medium intensity. Ripe red cherry. Oak. Cedar. Clean.

Palate - fresh. Alive. Youthful. Medium tannins, medium acidity, dry, medium mouth feel. Its red cherry and cedar. Medium alcohol.

Feels young but drinkable. Curious as it develops. Feels like components are there.

4.5 years between bottles makes all the difference. I didn’t think it would get better, due to lack of fruit, but it shows well at this point. It has come in balance, with fruit, acid and tannins all working together. The fruit is classic Nebbiolo sour cherry dominant.

3/28/2019 Note: Astringent and lacking fruit on day 1. Not much better on day 2. Well made, nice finish, but just not very appealing. Can’t see it getting any better. 88 pts.

Nose: Forceful and dense aroma of ripe stewed strawberry, faint wood spice, faint dried herbs, and subtle stewed tomato on the finish (now that I said it, you will find it!)
Palate. Very sweet with strong concentration of fruit. Sweet strawberry and raspberry leather. You get sweetness here that is red fruit without wood -- its impressive, albeit a mononoted sweet red fruit.
Wish there was more freshness to bring a little more balance to a sweet nose and palate. Finish is super smooth, fine tannin that dissolve in your mouth. Not the lightest Burlotto, but not heavy a wine, it does the classic trick of packing so much flavor and texture with a light mouth feel. It is a darker, riper version of Monvigliero than the handful I have tried (but to be clear, this was not a Californicated wine).

Decanted at the restaurant, consumed immediately. Needed that rush of oxygen to really bloom with that wild snappy fruit nose. Palate is far more textured and less silky than the bottle I opened a couple weeks ago (different retailers) and more in line with what I'm used to with Juge with that bright prickly minerality on the palate. Such a great wine, happy to share it with those that haven't tried Juge yet.
