Dense and packed, and like I said it needs either some air or some time. Really nice wine. Not a bad price point for 1er Cru Chablis.

7/28/2018 - WineCenturyAZ Likes this wine: 90 pointsA delicious surprise. Pale straw in the glass, nose of yeasty baked aromas and yellow fruit, bubbles are soft and elegant, palate is crisp with baked apple, lemon curd, quince and hints of stone fruit, finish is long and pleasing with notes of fresh baked pastries and light chalk. Will be exploring more LP after a long absence.

12/30/2018 - dfldgirl94 Does not like this wine: 75 pointsLaid this bottle down for too long unfortunately. Decanted for 3+ hours but had clearly lost quite a bit of its flavor. Smooth on the palette but had no finish.

2014 Sigalas MavrotraganoCyclades more |
4/17/2017 - FilippF Likes this wine: 98 pointsI think this is one of the best greek wines, one of the best Mavrotragano, and surely one of the very good international wines. The color is a beautiful dark red with long legs on the glass. The taste opens up with time and combines sweet fruity with some acid/salty notes. Amazing. Similarly the taste fills your mouth with rasperry and cherry notes, a hint of the salty mediterranean air and light oak taste. The finish is smooth and medium to long with beautiful fine tannins. Truely one of the very good red wines of the world and a insider tip with great value.

2012 Giocato Pinot GrigioPrimorska more |
11/22/2014 - Ombibulous Likes this wine: 85 pointsMy first wine from Slovenia. Crisp, with good acidity, but with strong flavour too, especially for a Pinot Grigio, which sometimes can be simple. Better than the often mass-produced Pinot Grigios of northern Italy. (Unlike Alsace, where Pinot Gris is treated with respect, in northern Italy it is not always treated with the same respect.) Layers of flavour, including apple, pear and honeydew. $19. Overall value: 3.5 stars of 5. Overall impression: very good (85.5).

Could be a bad bottle, closure that might have failed or heat exposure during shipping. Could be a bad tank due to oxygen management in this isolated case, I was also wondering if it might have been something to due with the 2020 fires in the region and trying to remove smoke taint that also removed all of the usual goodness from a batch.
