Massive. Bright candy-coated nose. Rich cherry cola, with quietly firm tannins. Wish I had more! (At least I do have other vintages of their Roosevelt offering.)

This paired perfectly with a vegetable chicken tortilla soup (Gubancs Restaurant, Portland recipe). There is enough fruit and tannin to age at least to 2018.

11/26/2016 5:55:00 PM - I admit I find it somewhat curious that you said both that it was "past its prime" back in May, and then that "[t]here is enough fruit and tannin to age at least to 2018" in September.

Still wonderful. Definitely mellowed, but still not meek. A earthy, green peppery nose now, backed up by rich cherry cola, vanilla and pepper, and a smooth solid finish.

11/7/2016 4:25:00 PM - As far as what kind of life it's still got, let me put it this way ... I have four bottles left, and I wasn't planning to open another one for a least a couple of months. :-) I think it's fair to say it's got at least another year.

Still magnificent. Slightly "darker" now, I believe.
