1/30/2021 - DrZett wrote: 95 pointsVirgile Lignier, who joined his father Maurice at the domaine in 1992, is the fourth generation to run the family property. This was also the first year that the estate started bottling their wines and selling them directly. |

2011 Château Le PinPomerol Red Bordeaux Blend more |
4/16/2022 - DrZett wrote: 93 pointsA few days ago I participated in a once in a lifetime tasting organized by Armin Diel. We tasted 12 vintages of wine icon Château Le Pin from Pomerol, all out of magnum bottles from Armin’s private cellar. All were in fantastic shape - even Monsieur Alexandre Thienpont took part in this tasting. What an extraordinary experience. Today’s market prices for magnums are between 7,000-18,000 bucks per bottle. Production figures are at the end of each vintage.

7/24/2021 - SlimShaney Likes this wine: 95 pointsThe kind of wine you might drink the day after an orgy, reflecting on life and how it all happened the way it did ... and what else it could have been and who you should have spent it with, how boring it was and why it didn't have to be that way. As it also is with wine - all this lame mainstream stuff. Then there's Ringland (and a few others). Hedonistic escapism, break free, tear down 4he barriers and just run wild.

9/22/2020 - DrZett Likes this wine: 94 pointsVoluptuous nose with lots of cherries and raspberries. On the palate lots or ripe red berries and some blackberries, blackcurrant and wet leather. Very smooth and nicely integrated tannins. Round and elegant body - beautiful. Long and very juicy finish with lots of ripe red berries. Absolutely in a great spot right now, drink up within the next 8 years. (IG)

6/19/2020 - Eric99 wrote: 90 pointsTasted together with the 2005. Both wines showed a remarkable intensity but were definitely neither pleasant nor charming at all. The 2010 was a little bit more open but is still less attractive than the potentially inferior vintages 2012 and 2008. Won’t open the next bottle before 2030!

1/26/2019 - MattB72 wrote: 87 pointsMaybe the lowest score I have given on CT. On the first night it was undrinkable. On the second night it was a tad better, but still not good. Tasted like the house cab at TGI Friday’s. Another 80s steakhouse wine that just isn’t very good.

11/7/2018 - DrZett wrote: 95 pointsOnce more 2016 proofs to me that it was one of the greatest vintages in the last decade on the left bank. Beautiful red fruits and cassis notes. Firm but elegant tannins, great structure and a long finish. Definitely one of the best 2016 Bordeaux buys.

5/9/2018 - DrZett Likes this wine: 95 pointsAmazing right now. Great mineral notes, perfect sweetness and interesting fruit and some little aging notes. Honey, melon, ripe lychee and some toffee on the palate. Very precise acidity on the palate, medium-long finish. Just beautiful in the moment but could easily last another 10 years.

10/1/2016 - WineDr. Does not like this wine: 89 pointsAnderson's CVV Cabernet Sauvignon has long been one of my favorites: Top tier in quality and very age-worthy, but without a 3-digit price tag to match. I bought a case of the the highly acclaimed 2007 vintage years ago. It has been stored under ideal climate-controlled conditions.
