classic Prevost orchard fruit profile up front, decent bit of acid, but unfortunately mousy the finish. Unexpected from a Prevost wine, hopefully a one off.

Not sure what other people are raving about as this is way too young to warrant some of the super glowing reviews. Hype aside for Bouchard, I struggled to enjoy drinking this as I felt like I was flushing $100 down the drain for the privilege of a Selosse disciple

The wine itself was interesting. Straight apple upon opening and over the course of a few hours showed hints of raw dough, flint, and even some pineapple. But the glimpses of scent were fleeting and left me vigorously swirling in my burgundy glass just hoping something more would show through...nothing more. The palate imo was the best part of this. It's big yet restrained and sends tingles all around the mouth. It tires in bottle quickly, however so you either get some olefactory satisfaction or the nice palate, but not both at the same time

Less than 24 months on lees so technically not a vintage wine, this could be interesting in 10 years, but for $200-$250 market price now...no thank you

Wines during Provence trip; 6/18/2022-6/21/2022: At Le Bistrot de l'Oustalet since the restaurant was closed during the days that we were there. Similar stewed qualities to the Rayas, and surprisingly soft without structure for a young Jamet. Again, not bad but not what I expected probably because of poor provenance.

6/24/2022 12:48:00 PM - L’oustallet buys everything direct from domaines (it’s owned by the Perrin family of Beaucastel fame) and stores it all in a climate controlled facility. Very unlikely that bottle would have had provenance issues…

Best Bordeaux blend that I've had in months. Light on it's feet but packed with flavor. Fragrant nose, great fruit and acidity. Fine finish. Why can't Bordeaux do this anymore? Maybe it's the southern Rhone varietals in the blend.

Chevalier-Montrachet 2000 fra Bouchard.

Ingen pox! Meget bra vin!

7/2/2015 11:11:00 PM - Looks like we've both raided the cellar of Richelieu on Ile de Re. When I was there they were actually discounting the Bouchard Chevalier as they were finding it hard to sell to their clients as it was "too old". :-)

    Great wine...
