Fresh and fruit-driven with bountiful royal red cherry flavors. Lively with lovely texture and delicious all the way through. Youthful, exhuberant and portending a great future ahead. Solid offering and excited for future vintages.

made by Robert Foley this is really an excellent merlot

Twist and pour.
Deep ruby color. Clear.
Nose offers cherries and kirsch with beautiful floral violet notes.
Primary flavors of black cherries and plums, violet, with a brown spice note on the back end. Sufficient acidity to carry the ripe fruit.
Very enjoyable.
I have been a long time purchaser of Andrew's wines. Over the years, i have seen tremendous improvement in his wines. Impressive. Unfortunately, he announced the closing of AP Vin. As one who enjoys these wines, that is a loss.

Light crimson in color. 14.1% ABV. Breathtaking nose of red fruits, cloves, baking spices and forest floor. Medium to full bodied with bright acidity. Opulent and plush. Strawberries, cherry cola and mushrooms on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Really delicious and not to far afield of the Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast appellation wine. Best over the next 2-3 years.

3/23/2019 8:25:00 AM - The reference to Kosta Browne makes perfect sense, considering who the winemaker is.

  • Comment posted by budman:

3/26/2019 8:33:00 AM - Correct. He makes AldenAlli, Shane, and a few other brands in Santa Rosa in the Coffey Park area.

Dinner with Jane and Mitch at Iron Skillet on the north fork of Long Island wine country. Popped, then waited 60 minutes to drink. A little tang, that would fade. Smooth, but I didn't think this wine was anything special. One of the few times (if ever) I've been disappointed with a Quivet. We had half a bottle left.

Complex, with blue, red, and black fruits. There was even some eucalyptus on the nose. An incredibly complex wine. Can't wait for the 2014!!!

This was the 2nd of our two bottles. We enjoyed this wine with a steak dinner after a 2 1/2 hour decant. Nice Syrah with a citrus bite, mineral flavor and strong fruit.

Dissappointing... nowhere near previous bottles... bummer.

In a great place right now. No signs of going downhill any time soon.

Nice nose. Strong tannins. Very chewy. May need more time in bottle
