3/9/2013 - klezman Likes this wine: NRGorgeous. Amazing wine. I didn't know what to expect when opening this one, as I'd heard interesting things about Kalin. Once I popped and sniffed, though, I was impressed. The cork had a bit of trouble coming out, but nothing a better corkscrew wouldn't have prevented. Plenty of sludge in the bottle but not a lot of tartrate. |

Earlier tastings were delightful, if a bit light, but my last two bottles (one last summer and one in 12/10) had a sharp, acrid finish, very acidic, with no fruit left and no smoothness left - just bitter and thin. If you have any left, drink ASAP or cook with it.

Most of this bottle is going into the freezer for another day - let's see what *that* crystallization does. Update: just as lame once thawed and used for cooking.
