Really good on night 1 and continued to improve thru 3 nights. Fully balanced on night 1 and by third night had become voluptuous to say the least. Great wine.

13.5% alcohol. Juicy, tangy, and sappy with a profile of red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, red apple peel, spice, and tree bark. Moderately proportioned with mouthwatering acidity, and good concentration and energy.

13.5% abv. Light straw in color. Moderately expressive aromas. Subtle but nuanced flavored of citrus, flowers and stone. Taught and focused with excellent mouthfeel. Lingering aftertaste.

A local vineyard one good!

Still holding up very well, this has always been my favorite vineyard among the original Copain lineup. Bright red bmcheery, rose petal and baking spice. Very nice.

Maybe cooked or just OTH. Port like stewed fruit, slight bricking at the rim. Drank side by side with a 2002 Hacienda Secoya which was pristine. Heat damage seems unlikely since these two bottles were purchased together and stored identically.

6/20/2015 - La Cave d'Argent Likes this wine: 93 points

Aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, pickling spice, lavender and citrus are front and center on this deep ruby Pinot. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (12.8%) and has medium sweet tannins. The flavors mirror the nose, adding an earthy element in the middle. Long and crisp on the finish, this is a structured wine which should hold up beautifully for another 6-7 years. Drink now-2022.

Nice blend of blueberry, black cherry, tobacco and granite aromas, with the fruit opening up as the bottle breathes. There's a burst of juicy, but not remotely jammy, fruit up front, and a note of that lingers in a long, tart finish. It's not tremendously complex - and at this price point, I wouldn't expect it to be - but it definitely has a good amount of character.

Good finish. Mostly cherry flavors with a biit of spice. Very nice and should live at least 3-5 more yrs. good pinot

Hard to do a proper tasting note when this was in a tasting up against so many other stellar new world Pinots.... And who am I kidding, I was quite drunk. I remember it being quite ripe, dark fruited, lots of cocoa (could have been the coffee machine in the background), vanilla, fennel, slightly jammy but with elegant yet weighted fruit with superb balance and length. I loved it but thought it was a bit overlooked in the context of the night - it sort of demanded further attention.

w cheesesouffle (yummy). This was pretty decent given our earlier experience. Nice color, good typical syrah nose. On palate good fruit, strength and spices. Dark fruit, maybe a bit dry on the finish. Later on this got better 1.5 hrs. Had more body and got very inetersting on palate. Drink now because of the dryness.
