suprisingly enjoyable. Wonder where it was bulked in from? Odd that this still pops up and there is still so much of it around. Would be interested to know the back story.

A good value wine, went well with my enchiladas. :)
For the price it is quite good. None of that "cheap wine" smell or taste (misplaced acidity and sweetness.)
Not running out to buy more, but I respect the good value that it is.

Strange, offputting sweetness when you first open it. But that's just because the wine needs time to breathe. If you decant for about 30-60 minutes, a dark, brooding WA cab comes to life, with plenty of round fruit flavors and nice minerality. But be careful, it will start to become flat again after about 2 hr. out of the bottle. Great with a casual steak on a weekday night.

I keep heading back to the store for more. I don't know a better deal in a $7 Cabernet, and this currently occupies my slot for inexpensive, casual drinking red. We've brought it to friends and family and it has always been well received.

4/12/2010 - DrinkNectar Does not like this wine: 79 points

•The Stuff: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cab Franc from Columbia Valley, 13.5% abv – The guess is that it’s an off brand to dump some excess or inferior juice without tarnishing the main brands.

•The Swirl: Very light in comparison to most Cabs. Watery toward edges, leathery plum color

•The Sniff: Not very aromatic. The heat of the alcohol comes through toward the end with some moderate oaky cherries

•The Sip: Earthy cherries with hints of white pepper. Not overly flavorful but no off flavors either. Very little tannin and low acidity

•The Score: At only $7, this is not a terrible wine but there are other wines out there for $10 that perform much better. I score this 2 out of 5 and send it back to single A ball to work on its form.

drank straight from the cellar -- this wine is better a little too cold and 10 minutes open -- gets flabby when it is warm and/or more open. It is simple and balanced, with a slightly artificial flavor that is not as bad as it sounds.

Wow. Ok, we will probably have drank another bottle of this by the time you finish reading this. Right out of the bottle we have Chocolate, vanilla, heath bar. The flavors reveal a classic WA backdrop of thick, jammy berry deliciousness. The tannins are soft, producing a wonderful finish that lingers with baked berry pie ala mode! This is *how much* again?! Really? Best bargain we've discovered in....wait..ever?

uh oh, this wine is boring me now, and it never seems quite right, as if it is always a little too something (too cold,. too warm, too freshly opened, opened too long ago). I think the fact is it doesn't have a sweet spot, but it is far from being flat out bad.

I'm down grading a bit after drinking a bottle at home over 3 or 4 days. it has less depth and not as balanced as it seemed a the bar.

reminded me a lot of Klinker brick zin. Very choclolatey and coffee-like, in body and overall palate. But with slightly more acidity. Chris liked it, which i found odd...not his usual type of wine.

I drank this at Cellars restaurant in Seattle, and I have to disagree with the previous review. It's not light or Pinot like. It is smooth, simple, balanced and fruit forward with plenty of residual sugar -- clearly a cab but made in the style of a juicy syrah or zinfandel. I liked it, though it didn't strike me as much of a food wine. It isn't a staid, dignified style of wine with fine layering and a complicated finish, but it is good for what it is and is certainly drinkable.

I've never heard of this winery, but it tastes like good, uncomplicated, slightly-less-than-fully-sophisticated wine made by a big producer, like Kendall jackson or something like that -- has none of the quirkiness that I normally associate w/ small labels.

Decanted and immediately poured. This is pretty light in the glass...more closely resembling a pinot than cab. There is raspberry and plum on the nose...on the palate, notes of cherry with just a little tannin asserting itself at the end. Medium bodied...probably one of the lightest cabs I've tried. Although this was only ~$10, I probably wouldn't try again.
