1/26/2020 - Snowey Likes this wine: NRLovely floral smell. Freaking love the smell. Fruit and tannins both present but it drank smoothly on day 1 for such a young wine. Clearly it has much more to go in the cellar and will continue to improve. |

1/18/2020 - Sotto325 wrote: 94 pointsExplosive nose! Tightly- packed, rich, dense dark red/black fruit-- lingonberry, blackberry, black cherry, myrtilles, raspberry, tart cherry,--and a healthy dose of soulful moist Charmes soil, all pack the palate and nose throughout. And, while it has the unmistakeable Taupenot floral fruit trademark I have experienced so many times with their wonderful Chambolle Combe D'Orveaux, it is also oddly a bit rustic for a Charmes. Not a negative, but in contrast to the nearby Perrot Charmes, which I had recently (2011). Part is the richer 2005 vintage, but otherwise, it is is just a rich, deep-down style: I honestly closed my eyes often and felt like I was in that Charmes soil. Very expressive and definitely ready to go now-- slow ox'd for 30 minutes, carafe for 15 minutes, and it started to hit its apex at 20 minutes in the glasss. 94-95 |

1/16/2020 - Eags25 Likes this wine: 92 pointsWaxey / soapy nose on the front with almonds, pears, melon & cantaloupe. Luah and soft mouthfeel revealing Pear, nectarine, flower, stone and a driving seashell salinity on the finsih w just a tough of grass & nuts. Long 45+ finish that keeps changing. |

1/15/2020 - BenBlu Likes this wine: 91 pointsServed blind next to Thibault Liger Belair Les NSG 06 (which what was a bit of a caricature of wine) this clearly a classic Burgundy from a cooler vintage it seemed and with good mineral backbone showing some red fruit on the slightly chalky finish. Nice. |

1/13/2020 - DesMarteau wrote: NRBeginning note...unrated professionally or by other drinkers...so took a flyer on an auction on this for $25. opened, poured in the glass, gave 30 mins of air. Nose of slight mold blew off. still pretty purple with slight bricking. translucent. not showing much the first night...muted fruit and mushrooms. shut down? put half in a vacuum pumped 375 bottle in the fridge to come back later....ok...5 days later...let come to room temp and drank the rest over a couple of hours. I think this will improve greatly with age....deep cherries and stewed rhubarb, tar, mushrooms with a hint of leather...lingers.. changing and a little disjointed...I think that's a result of the place it currently is. |

12/23/2019 - Ianthemac Likes this wine: 92 pointsStill pretty youthful and mainly primary in character. However the purity of the fruit shines through. Elegant and refined. Lovely cherries and red fruits on the palate. Great balance. I look forward to watching this develop. |

1/12/2020 - mmcdds Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis has matured into a really great village Gevrey. The mouthfeel tonight is fairly delicate, while the pretty red fruit has good depth and concentration for its level with nice, earthy sous bois undertones. Sadly, my last bottle, I wish I had saved a few more because, to my tastes, this is drinking perfectly right now. |

1/11/2020 - MrBrege wrote: 93 pointsTasted against an Oregon Pinot, 2012 Domaine Serene Yamhill Cuvée using Corovin, so effectively PnP. I see several notes being negative on this wine, but no recent ones. A couple of years ago they were probably right, but the 2011s drink very well now and this was actually one of the best red Burgs I have had in this price class. The nose is open and now and sophisticated. On the palate it has the amazing smoothness of the best red Burgundies; there is not that layered complexity you get from the Grand Crus, but the fruit is intense and the finish is very long. Absolutely delightful now. |

1/9/2020 - DaBUBBLE Likes this wine: 90 pointsHad it w/European Cuisine. Drank together w/a new Volnay & and very old Rioja. Kind of stuck in between, not its fault though. Pleasant nose started to come out after 30min of decant. Earthy w/dark fruits. Body was smooth but a bit short. Overall a decent bottle, would probably be rated higher if not stuck between the other 2 more distinct btls. |

12/25/2019 - vinsdumonde Likes this wine: 89 pointsDark, tawny. Decanted for 30 minutes and yet bouquet really didn't open up until 60 minutes revealing warm earth, hay, and hints of chocolate. Good acidity on palate, body a bit thin despite a decent lightly tanic finish. Very little fruit and I suspect the wine is already slightly on the decline. |

Tasted blind - Sweet stems and lifted oak spices, smooth tannins with ripe red berries and tart raspberries. Good purity of rose petal and sweet oak. Stylistically somewhere in between Dujac and Georges Noellat. Gorgeous. (91/100) 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (2) |

12/8/2019 - Forest Floor Likes this wine: 93 pointsLives up to its name, just a charming bottle of wine at the moment. Welcoming, sweet nose, with raspberries, maybe a little rhubarb, and even a hint of black truffle. It shows true in the mouth, coating the palate, velvety, considerable finish where the truffle, acid, and slight black pepper note all play a role. Does not have the depth of material of some GC’s but a very nice drink, in its prime, which could surely be hold for 5-10 more years. |
