Last bottle of this one. It has held up well and provided nice parings.

Sound cork. Clear and surprisingly transparent red--would have guessed Barolo or Pinot Noir. A bit of chemical on the nose initially. Flavors deliver fairly round fruit back up by a vibrant texture. Nice bottle.

Strawberries, and blueberries on the nose, very dark color, little sediment. PnP, very smooth wine, drank well with Swedish meatballs

Wow was pleasantly surprised by this "Power Buy" from the NH state liquor store. Seems like a small estate grown and bottled wine and the care and pride show in a well crafted wine. Sometimes it's not about the high scores or hype but just good old fashion dedication to a quality winemaking.

Great nose that I expect from a Cab Franc. Initial mouth feel is solid. However, no legs on this wine...taste just drops off on the finish. A bit disappointed as I expected more; especially at a $44 price point.

PNP at room temp. Wine is deep purple, nearly black in the glass with slight sediment. Do not recommend aeration. Nose has dark fruits, black berries, raspberry jam, some plums and a hint of tobacco. Initially a lot of acid smelling the bottle but didn't get any in the glass. Palate is very well integrated, dry, full bodied with a bit of tart cherries, dark berries, and a hint of ripe strawberries and a little spice. Tannins are very present but round and smooth with just the right amount of acid. Medium long finish. Overall, very fruity wine but delicious and we'll put together. Drinking excellently right now.

Nothing special, just an OK zin on the lower end of the price range. Not overly jammy. Didn't turn sour after being open for a few hours this time compared to the one a year ago.

It was one of those 'how did I let this cellar so long moments' that turned out to be a remarkable surprise. Time has rounded this zin without costing taste. Jammy current and berry still there but with a mellow and smooth delivery. I need more surprises like this.

This is holding up damn well for going on a decade. There's a thin brick rim, but no age shows up on the palate. Strawberries and leather on the nose. More fresh strawberries, cherry, cloves, cinnamon, and licorice for flavors. Long, delicate finish -- rides out almost like pinot. Since following the drunken cyclist a while back, I've aged more zin. Glad for it tonight.

Nice deep rich garnet to ruby color, nose was pleasing with a hint of cherry and smoke. Need to let it breath/decant for at least 30 minutes. Good body, easy on the palate with hints of fruit and smoke.

I'm not a huge zin drinker but this bottle was very worthwhile. Traditional styled. Fruity. Medium bodied. Alcohol in check. Strawberry. Blood orange. Raspberyy. No chunky thick fruit bomb at all. Good.

Decent wine paired with food, especially something a little spicy. Nothing special on its own. Tried to give it a few hours of open time but never really changed. A little bit of a bite to it.

Medium dark red color. Mostly a chocolate raspberry nose, with a bit of raisin, prune and a growing stamp of oak spices. On arrival, low tannin and medium-low acidity. Fruit is still here (raspberry, cherry, dried and fresh each) but are succumbing to time's reduction in freshness. The original balance with oak is gone, and this bottle has swung towards a more forward heavy oak effect and a more oxidized fruit basket hidden behind. Not really my preference in aged zinfandel. Drink now - don't wait - to experience something close to its original charm. Bottle #6 of six.

Dark red color. Ripe nose, raisin-y, and burnt skins related, if not a high percentage of raisin-ed clusters. On arrival, medium tannin and medium-low acidity. Flavors are correct for straight ahead zin from a very warm site (Amador county, Lodi, etc), but gosh - this comes from a beautiful vintage for zin growing, sourced from typically well-tended, mature plantings, fairly low yield and much cooler Sonoma Valley hillside parcels. Harvested too late for my taste but there is something here for lovers of that style.
