4/14/2024 - Carson.McEvoy Likes this wine: 90 pointsInitially, quite funky at first. Intense nutty aromas, which are unique but not my favorite style. Over time, these intense aromas subdued. After some time in the decanter, this became quite delicious. Bright, lively, great acidity. Notes of nuts, lemon, and honey. |

Based on that experience, I decided to purchase a full bottle for myself to enjoy. However, my experience with the second bottle was not as remarkable. It's a solid red Burgundy, but it didn't stand out to me, just decent for the price tag, in my opinion. |

4/7/2024 - Tree512 Likes this wine: 92 pointsFully mature and ready to go. Medium bodied, linear, and harmonious. Smoky leaves on the nose, red and black fruit on the palate. Nice finish with some tannins still to fully resolve. Not complex or long enough to be stellar but still very pleasant. |

3/24/2024 - BLam Likes this wine: 93 pointsI brought this btl for Jim's BD dinner and served it double decanted and drank after 2-3 hrs. It was still a very young wine with subtle nose and tight structure. |

3/3/2024 - nsellen wrote: 93 pointsSigns of age on the rim. Nose starts with red fruit and cumin (other spices are available…). Earth, decay, a tickle of pepper and some green wood. It’s quite pronounced and warming. Really inviting. Mouth has a bright, zippy entry. Fruit indistinct. Perhaps cranberry or red cherry. Exotic, alluring mid palate. Oh my gosh, this is turning sexy. Rich, mouth coating, fine but persistent tannins. Good acidity. Weighty, long lasting. Good. No, very good. |

2/14/2024 - ChristP Likes this wine: 92 pointsOpened one of the few remaining bottles from a case bought a number of years ago. The cork was perfect, and the color is still a deep red. It's a light expression of Bugundy with subtlety, yet depth. The palate displays red berries with just a background tinge of black currant. Tannins are now smooth as silk. I guess this is at its very peak but would hold good for a year or two longer. Class act from Nicolas Potel. |

2/4/2024 - acyso wrote: 85 pointsVinetasters: (mostly) 2010 Burgundy (Park Ridge, IL): Served double blind. Darker, black cherry quality with some funky oak notes here that don't really belong in pinot. Ungainly and heavyset, with a raisinated quality to the fruit. Definitely simple despite all the weight on the palate, and unpleasantly tannic either. Not surprised this is another dud of a 2005. My 12th, group's 12th. |

1/29/2024 - swade wrote: NRCompletely different than the last bottle from 2019, which I scored a 94. This was earthy and funky from the start. By comparison to the last bottle this was slightly flawed. Earthy and funky aromas. Some dark cherry and soil flavors, but just not the charm of the last bottle. I won't officially score this, but if I hadn't had the prior bottle this was an 88 at best. |

1/20/2024 - Theophilus Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis exceeded expectations. Bought for a mere £27 in 2007 the nose was more forward than expected from earlier comments - slightly spicy but with the soft vegetal undertones I enjoy in mature burgundy. There was little sense of 'green' - in the main the palate was well-balanced and the promise of some warm earthiness was well satisfied. Not a blockbuster but a most enjoyable and satisfying bottle with a tasty aged medium-rare ribeye at home on a Saturday night. |
