Screw cap. The wine was medium yellow in color and offered an expressive nose of grape, pineapple, peach, white pepper and some mineral notes. On the palate the wine showed grape, citrus, pineapple, peach and white pepper as well as some mineral notes, paired with medium-plus lively acidity, a good mouthfeel and very good length. A medium-bodied, ripe yet fresh Grüner Veltliner that drank well. Delicious.

The wine offered citrus, red apple, grapes, tangerine, some pineapple and white pepper on the nose. On the palate the medium-bodied wine showed lemon, apple, grapes, almond and some white pepper, joined by pineapple on the finish, paired with medium-plus acidity and very good length of the slightly bitter finish.

Traditional riesling nose of minerals, citrus, and a faint whiff of diesel, all of which carry through on the palate. Fairly viscous and at 13% ABV, considerably heftier than a comparable German riesling. Considering its modest price tag, this was an adequate but not memorable bottle.

Blind at store: Slight greener note than Muscadet; Classic GV with fresh lemon-lime, lime blossom in the nose, as well as subtle snap pea/fresh green stuff, radish, and a very slight white pepper note; med- body, med+ zingy acidity up front (as opposed to Muscadet which may be more in the back of the mouth); good depth/concentration of flavor. Had this with the more $ Unger Oberfeld and liked this a bit more.

Blind at store; tingly lemon-lime; crisp greens, raddish, green lentil; wet rocks, nuance of white pepper, vibrant medium + acid; medium plus finish. Good white with depth.

This is clearly more complex and interesting than the straight GV from Unger. It is tight, with lots of mineral undertones and lemon candy/lemon juice and white pepper mix. Yum.

The wine was very mineraly on the nose, with aromas of white flowers, grapes, citrus, green apple, apricot, some young pineapple, a see breaze component and white pepper. On the palate the wine was very mineraly and salty, with citrus, grapes, apple, hints of apricot and young pineapple, and white pepper. The medium-bodied wine had high acidity, a good, almost creamy mouthfeel and phenomenal length. It improved with time and was best on day two. A great GV. 90+

The salmon-coloured wine offered a fresh nose, with tangerine, young raspberries, young strawberries and some white pepper. On the palate the fresh, medium-bodied wine showed tangerine, orange effervescent powder, raspberry, strawberry, and lemon, paired with exceptional length. A very refreshing and enjoyable rosé that delivered exactly what I am looking for on hot summer days when sitting on the rooftop terrace.

Popped (or actually unscrewed) with a friend on a nice sunny day on the rooftop terrace. The wine offered apricot (turning to peach with air), lemon and minerals/wet stones on the nose. On the palate the wine was tangy and minerally, showing apricot (again turning to peach with air), lime and asparagus on the palate, with aggressive medium- to high-level acidity and medium length. A solid Riesling that did not kill me and that certainly does not stand up to the winery’s phenomenal 2010 Grüner Veltliner Oberfeld Erste Lage Reserve Alte Reben.

Screw-cap. Nice medium yellow-golden colour. The wine offered minerals, green apple, citrus, young pineapple, grapes, some apricot and white pepper on the nose. On the palate the wine showed good acidity, with grape and white pepper flavours, and with minerals and young pineapple on the finish. The wine had good body and great length. It contained the high alcohol (14.5%) very well. We really liked the wine. I will stock up. 89+

not picking up the burning acid like others. On par for Austria. Not as much citrus and minerals as other rieslings from this area, but solid effort. Not great for 17 bones.

wax fruit, white pepper, and green tomato nose. watermelon rind and electric lime palate. goosberry, mint jelly, and a really-hot-green-rubber-band-just-snapped-the-middle-of-my-tongue finish.

so much acid it that I'm wincing as I taste it w/o food. great wine- just nothing truly life changing... paired later w/ red/white miso w/ fried eggplant slices, cod, daikon, & thyme, and was lovely.

This was a very nice wine for an warm early evening outside. Did not have the overpowering citrus of some whites, and not too much oak either. Light and Crisp.
