No formal notes taken but this was, once again a delight. Rich baking spice nose, smooth and balanced. Ready to go now in spite of being sooo young.

Clean, balanced, restrained chardonnay. Mostly lemon profile. Not much oak evident. Bright. Could get better if the acids integrate some and more nuance develops. But nice right now.

What a stark contrast to wine B...aromas of cherries, ripe boysenberry and raspberry. Ripe black fruit on the palate without the pruny raisiny qualities of the preceding wine. This remains ripe and fruit-driven, yet balanced and pleasurable. Lengthy finish with dark fruit and pepper. Another that was easy to identify as Zin.

This is stunning with a bouquet of smoked mesquite, cherry and blueberry fruit, sweet spices, grilled herbs, and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, it was beautifully balanced with juicy acidity, displaying wild berry fruit and a hint of vanilla. It finished with a slight tug of tannin and spiced, dark fruits lingering on the senses. This is a beautiful and fun Pagani Ranch, which Ridge states will be best in 5-7-years, yet I can't keep my hands off it tonight.

Rich and concentrated, plenty of dark fruit, good structure, some spice, I believe there is room for improvement over the next several years.

Took to Underbelly for dinner with friends. The waiter decanted about an hour prior to tasting. The wine was simply fantastic! I believe this wine will still be drinking well for quite some time. If I was scoring would be in the 92-94 range.

Still in pretty good shape, with a palate of dried red fruits, licorice and spice; Tannins are fully resolved and I imagine this won't improve with any more age, although is still holding up quite well

Delicious. Nice surprise for the members at the event at Monte Bello. Thought I was seeing things. A Ridge rosé? Make more this year please. Only two barrels produced. Two bottle limit. I would have bought both barrels if they let me.

Light red cherry color, medium legs. On the nose, cinnamon, caramel corn and earth. Palate is light fruit forward followed by warm spice notes. Round, full finish. Open to air for three hours. Good Blend.

What an amazing wine. We enjoyed this last night to celebrate the Supreme Court's marriage equality ruling and it is drinking beautifully right now. Decanted for an hour, it was a bit tight when we first tasted, but after decanting it opened beautifully. It still has plenty of time, but we only had one bottle and the time was right! We are going to get a couple more vintages to enjoy down the line.

Plum, vanilla, baking spices, and ever so slightly hot. Nicely balanced, if only barely. I'm surprised this is ridge... Not sure I'd guess that blind.
With air it came quickly into balance and the vanilla becamea background flavour. The fruit turned more bramble from the earlier plum. It's getting fresher with air, which is good. I wonder what will happen in another couple years.

Compared to the 2006 Ridge Montebello for Harry's 41st. Unfortunately this bottle was on the downswing with greatly subdued blackberry fruit, a hint of apple cider oxidation notes, and all the black olive tapenade and tea leaves you could want. Here at 17 years I think bottle variation becomes more prevalent (see my 1/28/2015 note for an example of the range this wine displays). Still enough acidity and tannic structure to keep it drinkable and no wine went to waste; overall B- evaluation.

The 2006 was firing on all cylinders though, probably where this bottle was about 5 years ago.
