On the front patio with neighbors (Our home): From a 375. Screw capped. Seems a bit lighter than a typical Sineann Pinot. That may be good to some. Plenty of cherry fruit. More on the feminine side at this point. Obviously young but let's see where it goes from here.

On the front patio with neighbors (Our home): From a 375, screw capped. The nose on this is nice with dark cherries, black raspberries and some spice. On the palate, this is juicy good. Easy to drink and showing complexity. Nice texture. Medium tannins. Certainly not starting to fade at this point.

Somewhat restrained on the nose, but rich and smooth in the mouth with intense coffee and bitter chocolate notes. Like most Sineann wines, a fine value. Picked up additional complexity on Day 2, so decant or hold.

After a C&D from Josh Jensen of Calera, this vineyard was renamed Resonance and more recently bought by Jadot. This wine was made prior to the amiable split between David O'Reilly (Owen Roe) and Peter Rosback (Sineann) and both are listed on the back label as winemakers. I bought this on release and had the pleasure of drinking it with David O'Reilly back in November. I just found my short tasting note from that day. It ended up being my WOTY.

Medium dark color with a slightly dusty rim. Very complex nose that kept growing with air, includes very exotic spices like garam masala, ginger, baked black fruit. This wine just kept getting better and better over the course of an hour or so--gaining weight and aromatic complexity. The flavors of red and black cherry are rich, nuanced and still very fresh and lively. This is a spectacular Oregon Pinot Noir and I am very lucky to have one more bottle. Drink over the next few years.

I liked this - more New Worldish in disposition than the wines I choose myself but coming from Williamette it wasn't overblown. An interesting wine to compare to the Mugneret-Gibourg. Coolish climate tasting wine, the 13.8% alcohol noticeable but not obtrusive. Riper tasting than the Mugneret though I preferred that wine.

Some wines from Sineann and a couple others with friends (Paul and Michelle's): This is still drinking well but I doubt it gets any better than this. The nose ha cassis, chocolate and still some fresh cut lumber. On the palate, slight tannins. Lots of cassis, some candied fruit and vanilla/oak. Some will like it and some not - for the same reason. The oak is prevalent and while it does diminish with air, I doubt it ever fully resolves itself before the fruit fades. Still, there is a lot to like as well about this wine. Glass cork.

Some wines from Sineann and a couple others with friends (Paul and Michelle's): I have had a few of these and this one is finally coming around. Still on the youthful side but nearing maturity. Young, these seem like fruit bombs lacking some nuance. But they do develop. Plenty of cherry fruit left here, but its not as exuberant. Instead, there are nuances of fresh and dried cherries, with spice and layers of complexity. Great texture. Worked really well with stuffed eggplant off the grill. Long finish. Another example of how if you don't like Sineann's up front style, just wait because they do evolve and they do hold up.

Some wines from Sineann and a couple others with friends (Paul and Michelle's): Screw capped. Refreshing on a hot day. The nose has some tropical fruit with some minerality. Nice rich texture. On the palate, this is delicious. Slightly sweet. Depth. Minrals and tropical fruit. Long finish. Seems like on of the best vintages in the last few years.

Some wines from Sineann and a couple others with friends (Paul and Michelle's): Screw caped. Gold/copper in color. This is the third or fourth vintage of this and they continue to shine. The nose has minerals with some limes. Refreshing. Nice acidity. Very food friendly. Good fruit on the palate too. The bottle was drained quickly. Dry.

A little slow to develop and definitely showing its age with less bright fruit and a bit out of balance. That said it is still a beautiful wine wine dark smoky notes and round delicate tannins. Acid is starting to fade a little bit and the finish falls off faster than I'd like but no regrets.

Awesome acid, tannin, and fruit. Lots of all three, in great proportion. This wine still has a lot of great life left in it. Very ripe but not annoyingly sweet red and blue fruit flavors, with an immediate bite of acid to wake up your mouth. Finish develops in complex and changing ways and goes on and on and one. Decent tannin and alcohol are evident on the end, but not offensively so. I'm changing my drink by, this wine has some life left on it.

Great Riesling, made in a Spätlese style but a bit leaner, a few years past its prime yet still holding up well over 3+ days vacuum corked in the fridge. Has a bit of plastic and marshland peat on the nose as well as relatively strong notes of aged sherry, grappa, and hints of herbs; a long undercurrent of citrus rind on the palate with flavors of Gala apples, hints of white tea, and, again, some grappa notes; finishes dry, with notes of saline-driven Manzanilla, some oak, and a dash of sweetness on the aftertaste. Enjoyed this best served just slightly chilled. 11% ABV.
