4/20/2024 - sean7711 Likes this wine: 95 pointsReally singing now. Decanted for 3-4 hours prior to drinking with flank steak, corn, mashed potatoes. Cherry, kirsch, cocoa nibs. The more feminine wine to the muscular SLV. I gave up my SLWC club shipments a few years ago, but this is a good reminder of what this winery is able to produce. |

4/15/2024 - rgawlowski Likes this wine: 94 pointsWhat I a nice surprise; I got at an auction as a mixed lot of SLWC for almost nothing, but this was excellent; mature, but beautiful clear ruby color; aged Bordeaux nose; good acidity; fruit fading a bit, but still nice finish and very good balance. |

4/13/2024 - AD_jutant Likes this wine: 88 pointsNose of bay leaf, liquorice root, and blackcurrant. Syrah shows clearly and it almost reminds me of carbonic macerated wines. Violets and squid ink, blackberry leaves. Oak is not very pronounced, but it’s certainly there. |

4/5/2024 - mryev Likes this wine: 95 pointsTasted it at the Stag's Leap Wine Cellars during a private tasting event. Excellently aged and preserved! Plenty of fruit is still there (for a 40 year old wine). Lots of powerful tertiary (mushrooms, old wood, barn, leather) but nothing unpleasant. |

3/29/2024 - Charlie C Likes this wine: 89 pointsDisappointing given its price and reputation. Deep cherry red color edge to edge. Not much on the nose even on the second day. Plush on the palate but without a lot of definition. Dark chocolate, blueberry, black cherry, tobacco. Beautifull resolved tannins, nice acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long with soft cherry notes. Became almost muddled with even a little air. Not a bad wine, but not great by any means. No idea how much longer this will drink without falling apart. I wouldn't wait. |

3/31/2024 - superwayne Likes this wine: 93 pointsVerry classy stuff. Silky smooth tannins. Irresistible texture. Classic old school napa cab. Will probably peak after 5-6 years in bottle, and mature for 12-14 years total. |

3/11/2024 - Raywilliams420 Likes this wine: 92 pointsDEf taste the structure throughout. Black fruits with some red fruits. Tannins are aggressive isn’t beggining but kind of mellow out after about 7 seconds. Good acuity. This wine is ready if u are having with food. If not give it air or some bottle age. I feel like I did something. Wrong with this bottle. Definitely was exposed to some air for a short period of time It’s just not in harmony. It’s somewhat aggressive, tannic, dark fruit driven , it’s just not as pleasant to drink at the moment as I would’ve thought considering the price point. All in all. I say don’t open this for at least 3 years. Give it time to integrate an I’m sure u will enjoy it more than drinking it immediately |
