8/20/2013 - RobertDwyer Likes this wine: 90 pointsAromatically present with enjoyable typical CA Pinot notes. Nice smooth and full mouth feel. Only a couple times while enjoying this wine did I catch an off note, and it was mostly on the backend of the palate. But bottom line: This is a *really* nice wine for south of $20. |

4/3/2013 - JLuch1 Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis is a nice QPR at $20. Day 1, PNP, nose of cherry and spices. Taste was dark cherry, strawberry, spicebox. Medium bodied. The 14% abv is not even noticable. Nice layers, smooth, medium finish at about 15-20seconds. Tannins at this stage gave the right amount of tartness and are well integrated. Day 2, the intensity of the berry fruit increased, now I get more fleshy delicious strawberry/syrup and spices. Based on the transformation between day 1 and 2, I would defnintely give this a go after about 2 hours of decanting to have some of these amazing flavors come out. Enjoy |
