Not as bright as the 2011 we had a few days ago. Less tart but a deeper fruit. A nice meaty white.

Quite tasty. Tons of fruit - strawberry and cherry liqueur. While initially somewhat overwhelmingly fruity, with some air it turned into a more balanced version of itself with herbs and earth to balance out the fruit. This is good now but will likely come into more balance as the fruit fades slightly with age.

Nice cab with a pleasant tannin structure. Popped and poured. Drank by itself and everyone loved it. Typical dark fruit Cab. It was nothing too complex or spectacular but it was enjoyable and certainly was a pleasant surprise regarding QPR wise. I would buy it again although not sure it will last until 2019 as Cellartracker suggests. I would drink it sooner than that.

PnP it's plum, dark cherry, hints of menthol, nice acid balance (although could be more acidic), and a certain meaty depth to it. Not in any way disappointed.

Shut down for a bit and then came back with more complexity and even a few greener notes. Nice wine. I'm curious to see how it evolves over the next few years.

Purchased July 2012. Apricot, toffee, peach syrup, citrus blossom, clover honey and some heat. Although it showed some signs of age on PnP, it still improved over the 3 days it took to drink it. Delicious!

Very dark crimson. Lots of blueberries, cardamom, and a hint of bacon on the nose. Medium to full bodied, blackberries, black pepper, well integrated tannins, good acid, dark chocolate, and a medium to long finish. Its in a very good place right now.

The cork was a little crumbly, but, fortunately, the wine was still quite fine. (And I know better than to NOT run a Wellington through a filter, even when I'm not concerned about cork crumbs!)
Mellow and soft, but not at all flabby. Definitely getting the tobacco and cedar and dark fruits others have mentioned. Magnificent with a mesquite-grilled strip steak for the holiday weekend.

Not seeing 'overwhelming' fruit @ PnP, but clearly still primary and lacking balance the first day. By day three/four in the fridge this settled down into a fine Wellington. Drink now, but not without a leisurely decant.

Popped the cork and immediately poured a glass. Initial nose is dominated by cherries. After a few minutes in the glass I still get cherries although not as dominant. First drink yields tart fruit, blackberries and raspberries. Enjoyed with grilled strip steak, roasted vegetables and peorgies paired well. A little spice came out when paired with the meal.

A bit less fruit, a bit more bottle bouquet than last time. Tannins are still present but sweeter. Nice long finish. Getting better with age, like a well made cab should. Drinks like a $40-50 bottle.

In the light, a very pretty, clear ruby. Raspberry, vanilla, and gummy bear nose. Medium bodied, cranberries, bing cherries, more tannins than you'd expect at this price, pepper, cocoa, and a medium length, somewhat sappy finish. Easily over-delivers.

Took a few minutes to open up, but then was full of dark fruit with Asian long pepper, vanilla, and leather. Excellent after the first 15 minutes or so. Still mostly primary, but in a nice spot.

Excellent aromatics - blackberry jam, baking spices, and on the palate a nice freshness that just worked quite well. Great wine. Hid the 15% alcohol quite well also.

Opened almost an hour before dinner, poured through Vinturi. Wonderfully integrated, although peppery spice was a bit much at first. Probably could use at least a few more years to fully balance out. My other bottle will sit in the cellar for minimum 5-10 years more. I enjoy every one of Peter's wines that I have opened.

This bottle had a bit of an acidic flavor to it, which I do not remember from my last bottle. Perhaps this is now past its prime age, or perhaps my bottle was flawed?

Really drinking well. I'll probably hold my last 06' until at least next year. Peter is a fantastic winemaker, his retirement makes me sad every time I open up one of his bottles. The victory is always a solid bottle!
