Consistent with my last note, including the improvement with a little acid...this time in the form of tomato bruschetta...this was my last bottle, and I'd drink these up...

Blood red. Sweet nose full of red fruits. A floral sweetness. Well integrated and delicate tannins complement the silky mouthfeel. Cherries, raspberries, and a hint of tarragon behind the fruit. Drinking beautifully.

Typical sweet, fruit forward WS style. Nose is a bit muted, although I didn't give this a decant. Sweet, ripe blackberry and fig on the palate. Tannins emerge on a slightly tart finish. I've really enjoyed this vineyard in the past, but the 2012 is good and not great. Enjoyable but not especially nuanced or polished.

Bought four bottles at initial release from the winery and forgot about them. Opened one tonight with barbecued salmon. Fantastic aroma. A little primary in the mouth. Wonderful stuff.

Popped and poured. Followed over 3 hours. Inadvertently grabbed this bottle enroute to restaurant.

Color is darker then other WS. Nose is quite fragrant with dark Hood River cherries. Masculine. Pure flavors of dark/black cherry, fresh tomato, hint of mushroom, and wet earth. Firm mouth feel that softens dramatically on the very long finish. Nice acidity. Delicious precise fruit.

Delicious. A masculine WS pinot for sure. I think this was a cooler vintage in RRV. Obviously a youngster, but freakin' tasty.

Aromas of wild huckleberries, dried herbs, sassafras and mineral fill your nose at first. Concentrated flavors of wild berries, Asian spice, espresso, wild flowers and forest floor expand throughout the expansive mouth feel. The blend of oak and rich grape tannins are felt across your palate but carry nicely through with crisp acidity in the finish.

Coffee mocha and ripe wild blackberries dominate the nose of this masculine wine. Racy cherry/berry flavors and rich fat tannins fill your mouth, along with Shiitake mushrooms in the finish. The newer clonal plantings from this ranch were bulked out due to smoke taint, but the remaining lots have added an enormous amount of depth and complexity to this wine. The extracted tannin will soften with several years of patience in your cellar.

Black cherry, forest floor, earth and mineral aromas dominate the nose completely in this vintage. Concentrated flavors of cherries, raspberry, and cola, are complemented by the rich extracted grape and oak tannin in the finish. This is a fleshy wine with much more complexity than past vintages, and one that should age quite well.

The ripe aromas of wild raspberry, green tea, mocha and spice direct the nose. This wine shows richer and broader tannins than the 2007 edition, with a better overall concentration and depth of fruit. A long sweet finish of boysenberry, wild flowers, minerality and silky-smooth oak help to complete this wine. Blended from the more mature blocks on this ranch, this wine seems to be finally coming into its own.

The nose is redolent of blackberries, plums, coffee and crème brulee. The rich and full tannins accentuate blackberry and dark plummy fruit flavors, and complement the creamy, silky finish. The concentrated dark fruits and spicy flavors truly express the classic depth, complexity, and finesse.

Intensely aromatic - cherry, mineral. Not as "cola" tasting as some others from W-S. Really stood out with the group I served it to. This seems to be peaking. I would drink up.
