Despite this being a generally lighter vintage, this one is up to the standards that we have enjoyed from Williams Selyem.

Hard to believe this is 13 years old! Bright red fruit, lots of earth and mushroom, not much tannin, and a nice finish. Well done.

1-1/2 hour decant plus a long drinking session led to this wine opening up as time passed. Initially paired with seasoned bone-in pork chops, rice and a salad w/ chimichurri dressing (thanks Pam!) and finished by itself. Last glass far superior to the first. Beautiful floral nose and flavors of plum, black cherry and anise. Mouthfeel just a bit sharper than upper end WS offerings but Damn! So tasty with a long finish. We are definitely looking forward to drinking through our 2011 WS vineyard designates in the coming years.

Not worth drinking the night opened. Corked and figured we'd see how it was the next night instead of dumping it. Significant improvement. Funk blew off the nose, fruit opened a bit. A tad licorice for me, but drinkable and interesting.

Nice, lighter, appellation overview wine. Strawberry and cherry with some earth. Nice acid for meal. This one was enjoyed by friends in our backyard by the pool as a post dinner sipper.

Drinking really good right now - with a nice balance in the mouth and on the finish. The fruit is at a point where I would aim to consume any bottles you have in the next 2-3 years at most.

Consumed at cellar temperature (55 degrees). Pear and banana on the nose, which has a bit too much alcohol for my liking. The oak is also fairly prominent. The pear also comes through on the palate, which has a nice oak balance and good acidity. Not as much fruit as I expect. Seems a bit lacking in depth. A decent bottle, but poor QPR.

I'm not very good at this but here goes....sour cherry with a bit of oak on the nose. After 30 mins to let it breath, it's got some great weight (not heavy) and I get this fascinating cedar wood component on the mid-palate. Really interesting Pinot Noir.

PnP. Medium red with some clearing on the rim. Intense nose of red fruits which is echoed on the palate with strawberries, cherries, and crunchy red apple. Finish is less interestingly - some alcohol and unintegrated oak definitely pokes through. Will see how it does with air and roast chicken. Actually gets worse with time and good - more out of balance with more heat. Very disappointing.

Showing very well at the moment. Nearly mature, with all elements in balance, and secondary notes coming into play. Ready to go now, but will make sure to hold my last two bottles for the next 5 years or so, as the Weir bottlings tend to age well.

14.3% alcohol. For a pinot, this pours noticeably deeper and darker in complexion. Aromatically, the wine offers up black and red cherry, raspberry, sandalwood, potpourri, and a rather pronounced oak derived coconut oil/vanilla bean quality that eventually blew off/integrated into the wine with about an hour of aeration. In the mouth, rich, concentrated, layered, and ripe with gobs of dark red fruits. Long, expansive, juicy, full, and slightly warming finish.

barely translucent and inky purple in the glass. The nose is full of blue and black fruit with pepper and spice. This is really drinking well with fine tannins after an hour or two after opening. Finish is very pleasing at around 30 seconds. I would enjoy now with an hour or two decant or wait a couple of years...either way you won't be disappointed. Also was much better around low 60's and not at cellar temp. Enjoy!

This is even much better on day 2 with the nose far more aromatic. I would seriously wait a couple of years as I think time in the bottle will make this far better. If you open now give it at least 2-3 hours in a decanter. Try a taste each hour and you'll see what I mean.
