To the contrary, it is an intensely aromatic white with plentiful citrus, lychee, melon and peach scents that are augmented with equally intense aromas of jasmine and rose petals. Medium-bodied, medium in acidity and without detectable wood, it delivers flavors that mirror the nose, adding a note of spice on the solid mid-palate. Lengthy and mineral-laden on the back end, this is a terrific wine that is well-worthy of its modest sticker price. It should open any oenophile's eyes to the grape and the terroirs where it performs best (such as Salta). Drink now-2026. |

A day bright light garnet, with ripe red fruit: cherry, raspberry, and plum on the nose. Toss in some rose petal, rhubarb, and licorice and we are ready to taste. The palate is round and smooth with above average acidity and tannic structure, and a slightly above average finish and dashes of complexity. Very nice. I guessed a New World Grenache and, well, I finally got one right! |

It is almost a cross of viognier, chenin blanc, and German Riesling, but perfectly dry and balanced. What a roller coaster of senses. A winning wine that I look forward to learning more about. |
