4/22/2024 - Putnam Weekley wrote: 85 pointsThis is very active for something so sticky. Late stage, hydrated drip brew joins cough-drop (pruneaux/cherry), menthol/cucumber root, and evasive sensations of aromatic sour candy—including root beer bottles, lemon heads™, and algae. Clearly, some careful work was invested in this. Preservation is intact. A gloss of makeup interferes with its natural gifts—is it a symptom of age? The more it drinks the harder it is to drink. |

3/31/2024 - Aris1a Likes this wine: 93 pointsFruit forward, with good heap of acidity. Raspberries, strawberries, stone cherry, herbal notes on the finish. Really good stuff. Great with food. Would be interesting to see how this evolves with further cellaring. |

11/30/2023 - VAGenius Likes this wine: 92 pointsPnP. Ripe raspberry with cherry and floral notes. Voluptous sweet raspberry with notes of tangerine and Valencia oranges backed by warming baking spice. Medium plus tannins show some weight with a lovely salinity note before the cherry and mint and acidity kick in. Needed a little air to come around so give it a chance |

3/30/2024 - Aris1a Likes this wine: 91 pointsFruit driven, with good acidity to provide structure. Some herbal notes and bramble round up the fruit. Tight and focused. Very likely to improve with a few more years of cellaring but very approachable now. |

3/19/2024 - _Alex_ Likes this wine: 92 points13.4% alkohol. |

3/11/2024 - wthad4 Likes this wine: 92 pointsVery nice dark ruby colored Pinot. Decanted for 30 minutes after opening but you could tell when the bottle was uncorked that it was going to bee very good! Has some power & brightness with plenty of cherry. Might wait until Q1 of 2025 before opening another bottle from this vintage. Solid offering from Anthill! |

The wine is medium bodied with red cherry, forest floors and herbs coming through. Very good acidity and nicely balanced but lacking some drive and length, this drinks very well right now. |

3/1/2024 - mouton45 wrote: 91 pointsI bought this wine in 2018 and waited patiently since then for the right opportunity to open it to complement my wife's cooking. I decided tonight was that time to drink it with pork tenderloin in a mushroom mustard cream sauce. In hindsight, this beautiful wine, with finesse and luscious fruit flavors, was overshadowed rather than complemented (IMO) the baby bella mushroom and mustard cream sauce. My bad. After dinner I finished the bottle after dinner with a few slices of brie and realized this was an unfortunate case of right wine, wrong place. In the last several month, we have been drinking bigger, bolder Sonoma pinots such as Wayfarer, Flowers and Hansel with pork and other dishes. Having never tasted any of Anthill's wines, I assumed it would be of the same ilk coming from Sonoma's Green Valley. I intend to seek out other Anthill bottlings and be more aware of what it will go with. Lesson learned. |
