Last of 6 bottles. Sad to see this bottling go. Beautiful red cherry notes, some cinnamon and dry leaves on nose. Still has nice acidity and sour cherry palate. Needed about 20 mins to blow off though.

At home with pizza, haven't visited this wine in a while...other bottles from the 05 Willamette vintage have aged nicely. Splash decanted, drank over 2 hours. Was fully opened in about 20 minutes.

Medium/light ruby color, clear, mild signs of aging at the rim. Earth dominant nose, red fruits, spice. Palate of bright red fruits, dusted strawberry, cherry cola, baking spice. Tannins integrated, medium finish.

Right in its zone, elegant and feminine wine. New world fruit, Burgundian style and feel. Should hold at this level for a few years but do not think it will improve much mire. Excellent example of BF wine that's aged nicely

I served this in my wine course. Spicy sweet nose with cinnamon. Fairly round mouth, but some structure returns on the finish. The nose, though very ripe, is the best feature.

(Mostly) Oregon Dinner at Cherry Circle Room (Chicago, IL): In all fairness, I think this bottle suffered greatly in being tasted after the 89 Domaine Drouhin Oregon. This is obviously a massive bruiser of a pinot, with lots of sweet and ripe black fruit. The alcohol obviously shows a bit here, and there's still quite a lot of tannin and heft. I really didn't like this wine as much as I remember liking it about a year ago.

PnP, started singing just 30 mins in. High toned red fruit, some blue fruit, fine tannins, moderate acid, and long, lingering finish. I would have guessed Sonoma over Willamette. Good structure. Two hours in, though, it was giving up. For the price I prefer more complexity. Still, very good from an excellent producer.

This is a beautiful and elegant chardonnay, drinking nicely now. I loved the citrus-floral nose and the clean and moderately-full palate with a respectable integration of minerality and acidity. I have two more bottles, and am looking forward to them.

Consumed several years ago. Held up surprisingly well. At peak. Dark fruit. Tannins still give nice structure.

Holding up very, very well! I would not have guessed this bottle was hitting the 18 year mark as we enjoyed it while ushering in 2016. I wish I had more of this in the cellar to enjoy!

Rich red fruit aromas on the nose. No significant bricking - bottle appears well preserved. A higher throttle mouthful for sure. Rich raisin-prune reduction of the dark fruit. Acidity in the background, and medium levels of smoky new oak. Alcohol levels borderline high. This would be quite appealing for those who prefer a bolder, richer Pinot. Putting style aside, this appears well-crafted. This may start to decline quite soon. I recommend drinking up if you have these.

Though not the most sophisticated presentation of Pinot Noir, I find these '08s continue to age very well. They offer plenty of fruits with a moderately aged bouquet. I suspect they only have a few more years left of prime drinking. (Thankfully, I have subsequent vintages!) For someone who is not a Pinot fan broadly, this remains one of my go-to options for the grape.

All right - not alright, all is right with this wine. Truly excellent Pinot noir - tasted at winery - this is what outstanding Pinot tastes like. Smooth and silky with excellent balance and backbone- as good as it gets

A very good effort, and with plenty of time left to evolve. We are well beyond the 2014 end listed here, and I think this goes to 2020 well stored.

Surprising still very good - structure, and acidity still intact. A little less fruit than last bottle two years ago. Needed an hour to wake up after opening.

See through bright maroon; very tart reddish purple fruit, effusive, loads of character, roses, mineral,a slight sweet edge, young and fresh; sour mix of sweet cherry raspberry cranberry and slight pomegranate, firm acid, more warm earth on the palate; tasting blind this almost fooled me for Burg but there was just a touch more ripeness; very nice.

Quite opaque deep cherry red in the glass. Extracted and ripe, bordering on raisiny. A bit hot on the nose and palate. A full throttle mouthful that would appeal to those seeking this style. Not a surprise, with Robert Parker as part owner of this winery, and the early 2000s still under the spell of his influence. I'm hopeful that the pendulum of Oregon Pinot continues to swing away from this style. Not my cup of tea.

This particular bottle presents younger than stated age - I'm guessing a few years to go before declining.

This is delicious. Classic pinot noir profile of spicy fruits, cinnamon, some menthol, a little stem. The style is bright and restrained, could be old world except it lacks the earthiness of France. There's a sneaky length and persistence that it's compelling. Terrific Oregon PN.

New Years Eve Celebration (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Dark red color. Decanted for 1 hours, drank 1 glass over 2 hours. Sour cherry nose, sous bois, earthy. The palate is medium bodied, darker red fruits, cherry, tart cherry, red currant, tangy, dusty, spice, sous bois, briary, long. Still showing well, not sure that I hold long though, couple years. My and group #2 WOTN. 92+pts.

New Year's Day 2016 wine evening (Kallang Way Extra Space): Poured into decanter and drank after 1 hour of air.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral violets, sweet baking spice, cola, earth, ripe red cherries, strawberries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cola, sweet baking spices, earth, ripe red cherries, strawberries. Medium finish.
Very good quality. All agreed this was rather feminine. They were actually guessing Chambolle-Musigny!?
Lovely and elegant on the nose and attack. My gripe is that this fades a bit towards the finish which seems a little lacking. Drink up, I don't see this getting any better than this.
Very poor QPR though, I could get an equally good Pinot for half the price elsewhere in the New World.
Winery co-owned by Robert Parker.

New Years Even 2015 (Kevin and Vicki's): Drank a glass over about 1.5 hours. This was an interesting wine, it was bigger like a Sonoma coast pinot, but had distinct Oregon character as well. Dark red fruits, almost brooding, with evil briarly earth. I felt this was quite nice, although it started to get alcoholic after about an hour in glass.

Wonderful pinot. Better than the '02 Upper Terrace I had previously. Floral bouquet, cherries, some blueberry. fragrant spice. Nice finish. Much going on in the glass and got even better as the evening progressed.
