After being a bit disappointed by the 2020 vintage and then somehow missing the release of the 2021, I was really looking forward to trying the 2022 to see how it measured up to my fond memories of both the 2018 & 2019. To summarize briefly, I have to say that it is really fantastic. Perhaps it is still a bit young for some palates but I personally find it already so pleasurable to drink. Beautiful intensity, vibrancy and balance. I would definitely buy more of this (and by the case, no less!) |

The taste is so vibrant and delicious. Plenty of acidity and fruit. A slight sweetness brings a little smoothness to extreme minerality this wine delivers… No wonder people says that Schoenenbourg is one of the top cru’s of Alsace. One of the best plots I’ve tasted…. |

If the age or the color and the thickness and viscosity of this wine doesn't convince you, you most certainly can confirm this by smelling the wine. Thick layers of sweet tropical fruit combined with honey are very dominant in this wine. 2009 is a great vintage but I really miss some acidity. |
