Ripe, rich, red berry fruit, vegetal green notes, sweet spice and alcohol prickle. Medium plus intensity acidity, drying tannins, alcohol warmth, grippy tannins, cumbersome. Bad bottle?
I thought this might be something south american?"

Very solid wine with ripe cherry, raspberry, and a hint of black cherry on the palette. Very fresh and mineral on the nose. Light to medium. Should benefit from short term aging.

Good wine, first of six and it will be interesting to see how it evolves.

This organic central Otago wine is beautiful. The nose has floral red cherry, some wild herbs and bramble notes. Lusciously salivating, silk edges, juicy and refined red berries that get a little darker in the flavour profile. Lovely weighted wine with a balanced finish. Good acid with years left in the tank, but enjoyable now.

Always a solid Pinot from New Zealand. Lots of earthy notes on the nose. Cranberry, pomegranate and medium+ acidity on the palate. Really good juice for the price. 91 points.

Rubis pâle. Un nez de fraise, confiture de fraise des champs, cannelle et autres épices. Le nez est superbe. La bouche est souple et savoureuse, que c'est bon !

Mushrooms, earth and subtle berries of dark cherry and strawberries. On the palate is balance with a velvet fruit profile somewhere between red and black with some vanilla/ripe sweetness; this gives way to a baking spice and strawberry long finish. Excellent wine and drinking well now.

PnP that's fresh and a bit guarded at this point. I think I'll hold my final bottle for another 3-5 years. VG sense of place and grape, with loads of energy, balance, and developing elegance, etc. Still improving. HOLD, there's much more to this story.

Very Burgundian, I would love to put this in a line up blind.

Quite open for business with very fine tannins, red fruits, integrated oak, a little steminess, well balanced, reminds me of Volnay. However, the finish is quite short.

Punch way above its price point in the Pinot world. Glad I got a case but not sure it will go the 12 years the producer says.

New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Light yellow. Sweet cut apple and spice greet you. Off dry Golden Delicious apple and a soil-filled finale. Interestingly, this shows hardly any Gruner Veltliner compared to the 2018 we tried the other night. Little intensity or interest.

New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Light ruby. Confected blueberry, cola, and herb. Medium body. Nice mix of lively blueberry, some soil, good acidity, and a grainier tannic finish. Good but needs a few years to round out. Again, it came across as sweeter and less interesting than the wines at other estates today.

New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Dull light red. Livelier, more complex nose with wintergreen in addition to sweet red fruit. Medium weight, good sappiness, not too sweet in the mouth and some nice more savory elements. Very good but I didn’t enjoy it as much today as 3 nights ago. Perhaps that was because it followed tasting more classically structured examples today at Valli and Felton Road.

New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Yellow. Unfolding aromas of herb, apple, jasmine, and honeysuckle. Medium weight, pleasing glycerine texture, again some green herb, subdued fruit, lowish acidity, and lots of soil. Interesting wine for sure with a lot going on, fairly concentrated but lacking a little oomph- maybe tired at this point?

New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: Ruby almost to the rim. Enticing combination of smoke and black cherry on the nose with a little wood spice as well. Medium weight, attractive saline/soil core. Savory, fresh dark fruit supported by excellent acidity and light tannins. Balanced, long, and sappy. Impressive and I may well have guessed Premier Cru Côte de Nuits had I been presented with it blind.

Straight to new world, Oz or NZ, but with 5-10 years of age. Fell between two stools then - a gently handled McLaren Vale Grenache or a bolder Pinot Noir...

What a wonderful rendition of a pinot. Savoury, herbaceous, umami and spicy. Similar in style to domaine de l’arlot in burgundy or Domaine de la cote, kistler or littorai in the US
