I was expecting something sweeter, but this is actually very dry, though rich, with ripe stone fruit, lemon, lemongrass, petroleum, stone and a fairly long white pepper finish. Oily texture, nice balance. Very good and reasonably priced at $18, although this is not a wine to age.

Needs some time to open, but is very good after a few hours. Plush, ripe fruit but not overbearing. With air, this develops some nice savory and floral aromatics. Medium bodied. Balanced tannins, medium long finish.

Decanted about 30 minutes but drank over a couple of hours. Hearty nose of pepper and dark red fruit. Very nice but obvious to the fact there is a good amount of cab in this wine. Definitely not a pure Syrah. Very nice but not asmuch as expected on the finish. A nice opening wine that would pair well with some spicy salami or sausage.

Front fruit and mid palate fruit - well balanced
Oak provides a good finish, strong w/out astringent or overpowering.

If I knew that these would age so effortlessly and become better with each bottle I had, this would have been a case purchase. Really a crowd pleaser with Italian sausages baked with chenin blanc and peppers, onions, artichokes, and mushrooms. The nice acidic and mineral backbone that hold this wine together and the subdued waxy orchard fruit, green pears and passionfruit, but with that ruby red grapefruit, to keep this fresh with such a diverse set of food. We also had an olive and feta salad and the mozzarella, basil and tomatoes going, and this was great and even the people that usually stick to the cheaper, mass public brands loved this wine. Too bad its my last bottle.

Bright fruit, good acidity and mouthfeel, oak is extremely dominant and got worse the longer it was opened to the point of undrinkable.

Bouquet is mild.
Cherry and plums and some spice like cinnamon. There is a little piquante to it. We like it. Had with good steaks grilled outside tonight.

Pale straw yellow. Nose: Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, nutty, straw. No florals or herbs, the nose is all about the Semillon save some Sauvingnon Blanc stone. Palate: medium body, lush and well integrated mouthfeel. Noticeable but not bright (though not dull either) acidity. Seamless. Meyer lemon again along with honey, almond, and a touch of condensed milk. White pepper. Slight touch of violet. Finish: persists for quite some time showing a mirror image of the palate. The white pepper does step up on the back end. Overall this wine, which was my first introduction to great white wine, does not disappoint in a warm vintage. I know Buty says this wine can age a decade, but I doubt it has the heft to take on enough interesting dynamics to wait that long. This has another year to be enjoyed in its current vivacity before it starts to mellow into middle age. If it had greater weight and sweetness I'd suggest holding bottle for a few years, but as it sits I recommend drinking up.

Drank over a two hour period, the nose presents cinnamon, cloves, chocolate, dark fruit and a smattering of the characteristic blood tinge that comes from the Syrah in the blend. The palate is fantastic, filled with currant, cinnamon,caramel, blackberry and cherries. The backbone is solid with distinct, smooth tannins and fresh acidity. This is a full bodied blend with a well stated combination of Cab and Syrah and has plenty of life left in it, I will cellar more without hesitation.
