Very solid wine! Still has a fantastic primary core of black/dark fruit, but a firm skeleton with solid tannin and an acid spine. The wine today is more in balance than a bottle I sampled 5+ years ago. The elements have become more synchronized. Right now this shows as a delicious wine with quite a bit of upside potential. This was my last bottle, which saddens me because I think this wines best days lie ahead. I'm thinking another 3-5 years and this wine will hit its best potential. But it might well hold there for many years. Excellent wine!

Really fantastic. Still great primary fruit on the nose, but also with cedar, graphite, and some other savories. Soft bright fruit on the front of the palate, good grip and long finish. Excellent wine from young vines and one of the more overall enjoyable Red Mountain wines I have had lately. This still has a long life ahead of it.

The blend makes a lot of sense to my palate. Just an easy drinking, medium to full bodied, pnp style red that goes down easily. At $22 it's a fair QPR and a good cellar defender. Thanks, DP!

The most Bordeaux like of the WA Bordeaux blends I know. It's intense but not overwhelming. Good acidity, and the fruit flavors are balanced with tobacco and spices. At 8 years old, it's pretty good, not sure I would wait much longer.

375ml format. Red and black cherry, tobacco, dark berries, and earth on the nose. Red cherries, tart cherries, earth, cassis, and a bit of vanilla on the palate. Juicy acidity, somewhat firm grippy tannins, good finish. This is a really nice wine. Delicious, approachable, and very affordable.

My first ever bottle from this producer! 750ml stood for weeks, popped, poured and savored over an hour with my gal. Really lovely balance, with a wonderfully charming, simple, green streak of funk throughout! I suspect that is the Pac NW Cab Franc talking! Lovely, relatively simple, pleasing wine. Seemingly no rush to pop these.

Picked up this older vintage Cadence a few weeks ago. Dry cork that broke but salvaged. The wine had a very nice reasonably robust nose of dried fruit and some spice. The palate is smoooooth with all the elements of this wine very integrated. Not sure how much longer this will go. Drink now.

Decanted briefly. Great cork seal and a great bottle, like a time capsule of a great Washington vintage. It's nice to see that the Tapteil bottling can indeed age quite well in a good vintage. Obviously new world with the qualities of a mature Bordeaux and the sunshine sweetness. Sweet wild blueberry and blackberry, tart cherry and red currants, asphalt road, toasted oak, burnt marshmallow. Drink now-2016.

This was subtle fruit with earthiness. This seemed to be like a wine from Bordeaux rather than Washington. Not sure where in Bordeaux, somewhere north, but this was really good. The subtle fruit and earthiness has a bit of pencil lead and, perhaps, some cedar.

Somewhat brick in color, subdued nose belies a full bodied cab Sauvignon with a med-long finish. Somewhat jammy, with current and cocoa on finish.

35% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 18% Petit Verdot

Followed over two days. Dark red core with a clear rim. The nose shows tobacco leaf, dark cherry & some plummy aromatics. Full bodied & tannic- certainly built to last. This offers more red fruit at first, but shows some darker notes as it opens. More tobacco & cedar also emerge. Not the most traditionally constructed Bordeaux blend, but one that works very well with this vineyard & producer.

I didn't particularly think that the qpr on this was very good. It's a fine rosé but there are much better in the same price range.

Very nice blend that picked up a velvety quality while being supple. The Cab Franc was very nice and provided beautiful blue fruit and lavender notes. Nice acidity, fragrant and medium length finish. Enjoyed

This is a well made wine in terms of structure but I think it lacks that certain something which makes wine desirable. I sipped on it over the course of four hours having food with it between hours two and three. It never impressed. Almost sweet in a way. Alcohol was mild. Maybe it's just not my style.

Not expecting much, but quite nice. Expressive nose, smooth finish. Plenty of fruit and tannin is minimal. More oak than I'm used to but not oppressive.

Beautiful well crafted wine... a little under-powered from what I was expecting. A bit of cedar, tobacco, and dark fruit balanced with the fine tannins. At the price of entry, I'm not sure I'd buy again when there are tons a great wine to be had cheaper.

This was our first time trying a Cadence wine and it did not disappoint. Very soft and silky on the palette. Dominant notes of blue & black berries and pencil shavings. Really just a pleasure to drink in every way. We have a few other Cadence wines in the cellar (Tapteil & Bel Canto) and can't wait to try those when it's the right time.

Deep red-ruby. Dark aromas of berry fruit & minerals. Very good acidity provides a European character. Tannins are still strong but not overwhelming. Not close to declining, but enjoyable now with a 1-2 hour decant. Doing very well. (Light fine sediment... nothing to worry about)
