clear, lovely light-med gold in color. very good concentration for what i understand was not a great vintage; a good dose of minerality and crisp macintosh apple on the palate. good value for the price!

I've been drinking some fine S.B. lately. And i haven't had a chard in a while. Possibly for both reasons, my enjoyment of this wine reduced a little from before. Not very interesting, although I appreciate its sub 13% abv.

Really singing right now, especially after an hour or so of air. Medium-dark in color and on the tongue, with an intriguingly complex nose. Very Cameron-ish, a tad on the rich side of things (compared to my favorite 2007 and 2011 vintages) but with enough acidity and savory balance to be still lively. For <$20, at release, a screaming deal.

Expressive nose dominated by lemon but also honey, river rock, and orchard blossom. Clean entry and then the acidity comes in and BUILDS. Lemon citrus with some peel and a hint of spice in the mouth. Acidity carries the ultra-long finish; citrus flavors persist. for. days. Overall, structure, balance, and finish are exceptional. Flavors are nice but not as complex and captivating as everything else. Complexity may come with time, and if it does this wine has huge upside.

I liked this bottle much more than the first. Really excellent with a white bean dip and then with a quiche. More complex than I remember and with better acidity too. Better bottle or better setting, either way this was a better showing. Good stuff.

One of my favorites wines and this did not disappoint! Chablis-like with a splash of orange juice. Oregon sea shore, citrus, hazelnuts, gravel, and a light cheese note. No hurry to drink up, feels like it has years of life left.

Rather bland, lacking the focus and energy I associate with Cameron's red wines, even at the sub-$20 price point. Soft mouthfeel, some floral/herbal notes, but without an obvious center. Disappointing.

Really outstanding pinot for the price and a nice intro of the Cameron style at a lower price point. Nose with red berry fruit, damp earth, savory tea notes, and a hint of the classic Cameron funk. The palate is fresh and energetic with good intensity and lovely balance. Finishes well with a nice sanguine, mouth watering salinity.

Picked this as my Happy Birthday wine of the night. Great selection!! Opened this about 1 hour prior to dinner to let breathe. Drinking well right now but I'm also excited to see how this one evolves.

Tasted without food first. Aromas of smoke, wild mushrooms and sour red fruits. Palate complex and tastes of red cherries, cranberries and cedar. Nice acidity and tannin are not powerful. Tasted even better with a steak dinner. Beautiful wine!! Bravo Cameron, bravo!!

Stewed cherries, nutmeg, earth, smoke, and heavy mushroom. Snappy, Gamay-like character on the palate, like a lot of 2013 OPN's. Really good complexity overall. The aromatics remind me of the 2010 Cameron Pinots.

Salty, citrus, oak upon initial pop and pour but once some creamy fennel pasta was thrown at it sang. Chalk, dill, citrus, herbs on a medium finish. Why do I not have more of this in our cellar???

Stone fruit on the nose and in the mouth with plenty of melon in the middle and some wet stone, chalk and salinity towards the finish with med / med-minus acidity. After years of dismissing OP rose, this one might have won me over -

Salmon pink-orange, clear. Giant nose of watermelon, citrus. High acidity and low tannins. Very broad in the mouth, but light, with ginger, citrus, sour apple, a bit sweet. Long finish. This is a unique and delicious wine. Probably better with food, since it's not a smooth, easy drinker like a regular rose or Pinot Gris, but worth seeking out and grabbing if you find it.

This was thrown in as a curveball at a tasting of 2012 Willamette PN, and blew all the 12s off the table. The clarity, purity, complexity, and raciness are off the charts. Bright, savory, slight reduction, with bags of character and personality and a long, long savory finish. Just really great.

A deep red/crimson color, with a lot of reduction on the nose. So much fruit on the palate though, gamy and full of musky woodland berries, smoky and savory. With time the nose comes around and tells us what the palate already did. Long, structured, serious, and authentic. Fantastic.

Ripe and rather monolithic, lacking the nuance and secondary flavors I usually love in John Paul's wines - even entry level bottles like this. I blame the vintage.

Gave this a couple of hours in a wide-bottom decanter, and didn't really get to it until about 4 or 5 hours after it was open. It's been slightly more than year since I had a bottle of this...Beautifully complex, and elegant with lots of poise. Wonderful nose of sour cherries, cranberries, cinnamon, spice, plums, some more savory notes as well, like mace... On the palate medium acidity; more cranberries and sour cherries, but had only the slightest shadow of tannic structure (and only perceptible with a serious swish). The finish lingers...Fantastic.

Very nice. On the nose, lots going on: citrus, sea salt, some tropical fruits, hints of nuttiness and some marzipan. On the palate, very crisp and refreshing acidity with a very clean finish.

Acidic, Spicy. Robust, forward cherries. Background of earth, a bit of smoke, leather. This should be wonderful with another year. Great QPR at $17
