Golden color. Aromas of honey, white flowers and chalk. On the palate, it has volume, it's ample, layered with white and yellow fruits, ending long with mineral salinity. I never expected such delight from this region, total knockout.

13.5% alcohol. Petit Manseng 100%. Pretty long cork of vg quality. The colour is medium gold.
Very good nose evoking quince and yellow flowers; most enticing. The mouth has a strong earthy character with excellent grip and medium intensity; the sweetness is understated.
Strong on character, maybe slightly less so on refinement.
Stood up well to foie gras.

En bouche, goût prononcé et concentré (fruits confits, ananas, abricot)
Le sucre pourtant à seulement 2,2g/l demeure pourtant trop présent en bouche.

Golden. Floral nose. Ample, rich palate with some acidity to balance. Not the tart, puckering style of Domaine de Souch. This is fat and is a more crowd-pleasing style. Alcohol is nicely balanced and this went perfectly with a chicken with confit lemon and green olives dish. Drink now. Re-buy if reasonably priced.

Impeccable balance, a fat mid-palate, the acidity despite being high is just perfect, it has a sort of fennel-celery-honey-lime taste, (with some underripe pineapple peeking out) with a long, long, long fresh lime finish.

Could easily go the distance without much effort if required.

aromas of rubber balloon, apricot, beeswax. On the palate sweet and sour orange, peach, tang, bitter acidity. The finish starts out soft and sweet but gains a salty thickness. This is an interesting wine and one I feel will reward cellaring

Longueur, longueur, longueur…
Un fruité à la fois confit et sec.
Impression oxydative mais non.
Brioche.
Épices douces.
Fenouil.
Texture grasse et satinée.
Un vin à la fois mystérieux et envoûtant.
Superbe!
Probablement à son apogée, quoique difficile à juger…

Retasted the next day. Nose even better with explosion of orchid, pineapple, chrystallised papaya pieces, monoï oil. Palate is more straight, mineral and fresh, still delicate papaya jam with lime flavours, but the structure remains. That is an aromatic wine made for complex food match. Excellent 91. Best french winemaker of the year reward from RVF (our anorak wine mag..) ? Yes, I do accept, that's a good crowed message.

A nice finish to a wonderful dinner at the Schwarzwaldstube of traube Tonbach.
My most favorite wines of that evening were the champagne from Jacquesson and the Volnay.Both well above average.

Retasted after four hours decanting, with two kids covid+. Nose much more expressive with aromatic baked apples and intense orange juice, quince, and hint of french warm croissant. Mouth more citrus peal, brown apple bite, rhubarb. Very expressive, complex but a little rustling rustling in an MMA cage. Very good Q/P. This estate is reward to be the best of the year by Revue du Vin de France.

91 Precioso color dorado intenso. Nariz con pegamentos, orejones, fruta muy madura. Elegante. En boca tiene una acidez excelente, mucho equilibrio. Mucha fruta madura. Final limpio, la intensa acidez lo hace muy agradable. Está en un momento de plenitud, pero aguantará perfecto durante décadas. Mejor como vino de aperitivo.

100% Petite Manseng here and is full of that dried apricot feel interlaces with spice, honey and light floral/herby edge. Lacked a bit of polishing as if the acids were a bit harsh but a very pretty and bright wine. This has a lot of life ahead but not sure how this evolves given our limited experience. 90 we felt

Première bouteille d'un lot de 6 et quel ravissement !!! Une robe jaune or magnifique,un bouquet complexe et sublime d'agrumes (pamplemousse,citron,orange),de fruits blancs (pêche,melon) et des notes fexotiques très marquées (ananas,mangue).C'est réellement un festival d'arômes qui s'entremêlent et qui ravissent les narines.La bouche n'est pas en reste:elle offre une structure ample,dotée d'une acidité qui augure d'une belle longévité.Les mêmes arômes sont les témoins d'une symphonie de très haut niveau.Longueur excellente.Rapport Q/P exceptionnel.Grand vin

14% alcohol. Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Petit Courbu and Camaralet according to the back label, presumably in decreasing proportions. Top class long cork. The colour is rich gold.
The first whiff, combined with the deep colour, makes me fear oxidation, but in fact the wine turns out to be in fine condition. Aromas are reminiscent of quince and beeswax, very individual. The mouth is equally striking with a yellow fruit dominant flavour that I find hard to pin down; full of character and very good grip. When the temperature increases a bit, I find a palate coating quality reminiscent of the top liquoreux while of course the wine is largely dry, although certainly not bone dry. This adds interest and complexity.
There is a ressemblance with the best Loire Chenin here, and this is not a negative.
The match with grilled sardines was disastrous; I was expecting a pungent high-acid wine, whereas this wine is much more refined, with some opulence, and it requires similarly sophisticated food. My fault entirely, and I am basing this note on a postprandial glass (or two, as this bottle is playing hard to leave). Maybe not the easiest wine to partner with food, but I am willing to work on it (hard work, I know, but someone has to do it).

PS: after ten days in the fridge, the rest of the bottle is in pristine condition.
Better match with monkfish in Mediterranean sauce, but still far from perfect.

Nez riche et aromatique évoquant l’ananas mais aussi le coing (plus surprenant), très aguicheur mais élégant. La bouche est fraîche, avec un peu de gaz, l’attaque est douce, puis la bouche est portée par une trame acide intense mais bien intégrée, beau retour de fruit exotique en finale, pointe d’amertume.

100% Petit Manseng, 20 to 45 years old vines, natural farming, fermented with indigenous yeast, aged 10 months on the lees in barriques (5% new) and barrels of 1200 l. Residual sugar 90 g/l, 13.5% vol.

Opened, enjoyed the first half immediately and the second half two day later, without much difference. On the nose dried apricot, a fresh note (not sure if more towards mint or fresh moss) and a suggestion of mushrooms. On the palate fresh and a decent sweetness, good creaminess and long finish.

Already very good though not very complex yet, but I'm sure this will come with advanced age, 91+.

Lovely balance and poise, with just the right amount of concentration to retain interest - with ripe stone fruits but simultaneously, a good clean lemony acidity. Would age effortlessly I would say, though this never got the chance!

Pnp, Blind tasting for my family. Autumn hue. Nose of baked apples in caramel. Mouth mature and dry surprisingly. Palate full of oxydised apples, quince jam and iodin dyeing. Full bodied, very expressive, at his apogee. I would wish a little more acidity.

Forgot how good Petit Manseng could be in a sweet wine. Pale lemon in the glass. Aromas of honey, jasmine, yellow apple, apricot. Light-bodied with a piercing acidity and low alcohol. No complexity or depth, but still an all around banger of a wine that hits the right notes at the end of a dinner.

Hartsyard supper (Hartsyard, Newtown): Medium minus intensity aromas of stone fruit that proves a little peachy with a smidge of apricot. Medium plus intensity acidity, very fruit sweet; stone fruit apricot and pear. A little honey but this is bone dry but with alcohol warmth on the finish, probably helping that fruit sweet quality. Hmm.
