Well done, as usual. Light and easy but not without complexity. Great transparency and speaks of place. As expected from the Bretons.

Non-ripened blueberries, licqourice, leather, still young but enjoyable now nevertheless; will probably change with age, but stay pleasant.

A little of that young sparkle is gone from this, but it's still a very nice bottle. Light and versatile with pretty fruit and unmistakable reflections of terroir.

After about an hour of air this shows a nose of good fruit, some nice herbal notes and a slight hint of wet clay and chalk. On the palate also fairly generous fruit, but still elegant. Noticable tannins, some herbs again, good chalky minerality, medium acids and slight spice. Medium lenght finish. An enjoyable experience now but will probably benefit from further cellaring.

12.0% - Hazy, med bright ruby / clean, med+ intensity - mixture of blackcurrant, red berry fruit, very juicy, earthy with a mineral tension / dry, med acidity (cranberry like), med body, med- soft tannin, med intensity, ... just so pleasant to drink. It goes down way too quickly and I now realize I should of bought more than two bottles...

Aromatics were there but palate was very tight and sour on opening. An hour in the decanter worked wonders. A beautiful showing. It's just opening back up and shows plenty of promise. It was very clean but not squeaky clean.

Transparent garnet. Generous penetrating nose of floral and blackberry, raw beef, and tar, with a hint of brett. The palate is a spicy, vinous mirror of the nose, bright and intense. The finish shows additional modest tannins and slight green pepper. Really lovely and totally fresh but mature CF. Enjoyed with sous vide rack of lamb.

Tremendous performance out of this, easily the most impressive and also the most substantial Breton Franc de Pied I've had to date. I had previously viewed this bottling as a tier below the Baudry or Joguet FDPs but perhaps the vines have matured to the point where I should reassess (or maybe the wine itself is just maturing). This offers a powerful blast of complex aromatics right from the first sip, both earthy and savory and maybe even spicy, too. It's one of those wines where a lot of that personality moves into the background after a few minutes, so make sure you sample this one out of the gate instead of leaving it around to breathe all night. But from there the palate offers luscious fruit, significantly more concentrated and more layered than any prior vintages of this wine have been, with maybe a very fine bead of CO2 in there that you can barely notice through the fruit. You *can* get a sense through the fruit of some of the interesting things that were fleeting through those initial aromatics, savory root flavors and spice seasonings and what-not. But it's really the sense of power I find most impressive relative to prior vintages that were more in the camps of "elegant" or glou-glou. This is the kind of stuffing that makes you think it'll be virtually ageless and just coast forever on all that material, like the '59 Bordeauxs or something like that.

Spft, refreshing, good acidity and low alcohol. Kind of blueberry and grassy spiciness. Grows with a little air to gain more complexity. Will buy at least one more bottle to drink with summery lighter dishes.

beautiful. demands to be consumed in small sips, which unfold as they wash around the mouth. a big sip and all the detail is lost to the slightly gritty finish.

Tart, simple, and rounded out. Consistent with previous notes 20 months ago, though the V8/Worchester Sauce notes have been replaced by more developed cherry and raspberry notes. Short finish, but this is a perfect, juicy weeknight quaffer to enjoy with simple food. Drink now and over the next few years.

A bit surprised by the wine. I got mostly floral notes - lavender, violet, some earthy notes as well. Not sure where the fruit notes were. Ok, but on taste not much fruit - more tannin oriented with the flower notes there as well. Perhaps the tannins hiding the fruit a bit. As it opened some damson notes. Nice chalky finish though. I miss the fruit or vegies, a bit to floral for my taste.

Began as a pop & pour. Followed over two days. Opaque dark red in the core with a clear rim. The nose shows bright cherry aromatics with hints of earthy bell pepper. The palate is absolutely lovely here. Pure red fruit with exceptional freshness underpinned by some green pepper. Medium bodied, but showing excellent concentration. Acid is quite high & keeps this very bright & balanced. Silky tannins add a touch of class. Excellent on day 2 as well.

The absolute perfect vin de soif bistro wine. Juicy red fruit, a hint of CB leafiness, minimal extraction but enough concentration to not be overly dominated by acidity or pyraziney bell pepper, pairs with just about everything on the table, goes down super easy. The sort of thing that makes you wish you were sitting at a table on a Paris sidewalk on a sunny Spring afternoon.

Has all the typical Loire Cab aromas, but also a nice touch of ripe red fruit, barnyard and chalky minerality. Green bell pepper, moldy vegetables, sandal wood, blackcurrants, and a little spicy pepper.

Medium+ acidity, dry but with quite generous amounts of red fruits. Marked tannins in a medium(-) body. Fresh, elegant and scrumptious!

Better on day two. I think. Came very late the night before :)

Reasonably priced at 200SEK ($23).
