The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and medium toast. The body is medium/full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

Soft tannins and a spicy, floral and ripe nose are coupled with fresh, smoky black cherries in the finish. This should be quite tasty on release. The wine was made from a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 22% Petit Verdot and reached 13.5% alcohol. 89-91 Pts

Not decanted, consumed over ~2 hours. Slightly more open than the bottle we opened back on 12/22/2014, but otherwise similar. Good balance, simple dark red fruit, hints of wood and herbs. An enjoyable enough bottle, if not a particularly memorable one.

Well balanced wine that presented some complex aromas of cedar, black plum, graphite and an animal character. Fairly weighty mid-palate with hefty tannic structure and refreshing acid line. Might open up a little more with some time and a robust meal.

Quite serviceable BDX. Nothing fancy or complex, but not flawed either. Enjoyable and a no-brainer QPR.

Zum Abschluss nochmal eine sehr gute Performance, sehr gut balanciert, saftige, rote Früchte. Insgesamt relativ leicht, aber sehr lecker zum Steak.

Clear deep ruby. Clean nose of blackberry, dark cherry, subtle cedar and earth. Palate has med tannin and acidity but nicely balanced and integrated. Fruit on the palate is light and classically Bordeaux. This is not a California cab and as such the fruit is subtle.

The meme for this wine is "tight and light." It is as if you have a winemaker with Grand Cru ambition (lots of tannic structure) working on a budget with Cru Bourgeois grapes (relatively thin, austere fruit). For all its rave review from the wine press during the early barrel tastings, one would have been happier if this wine were sweeter, more up-front and accessible. As it is, I am prone to think the fruit (fading blackberry and black cherry) will disappear long before the tannins.

Very dark garnet red hue. Decanted for 1 hours, drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Nose has nice black fruit, blackberry, cassis, boysenberry, vanilla. The palate is plush, textured, pretty fruits, consistent with the nose, light toasted oak, fine grained tannins, medium finish, balanced and ready. Crowd pleaser.

Dark fruit, licorice, and earth on offer here on the nose and palate. Enjoyable in its youth with medium body, acid, and finish. Enjoyed it as an evening quaffer.

Better than I thought it would be. Showing nice maturity but still structured and seemingly will last for years to come. Very enjoyable and perhaps drank a little older than expected. 90

Not decanted, consumed over ~3 hours. This took some time to open up; at first, it was a bit dilute and ungiving, although I did note a promising finish. Over time, it gradually started to show lean dark berry/black currant fruit and pleasant dusty oak/cedar notes alongside tart acidity and subtle tannins. Just on the full side of medium-bodied.

A decent bottle, but somehow it didn't really push any buttons for me either alongside food or on its own. Hopefully future bottles will be more expressive.

A really successful wine this year but quite a modern style for an Haut-Medoc. Dark berry fruit mix, notes of graphite, some high quality oak flavors, dark chocolate, rather silky tannins, medium acidity, good weight and length, just sligthly chewy on the finish. Good paring with lamb. Already approachable now, not really a wine for the cellar imho, but should drink well for a few years. - 89 points

Drank a while back and don't remember the details other than I found it quite smooth and good. We liked it better than the 2010 le conseiller we had at the same time.

One of my first 2011 Bordeaux. I'm impressed. Nice flavour, soft mid palate which makes for early drinking, some tannin but not aggressive.

Worth enjoying in its youth.

Slightly better than last year at this time. From 1/2 bottle. Still very young. Better after 1/2 decant. Nose was initially closed but gradually gave up some cedar, blackberry, raspberry fruit, and earth. Taste is just starting to get tertiary mature notes. Good fruits, some light oak, earthiness, moderate salinity and moderaate tannins. in a 750, i would say wait 3 more years.

Very dark garnet red coolor. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Nose has edar, fresh herbs, blueberry, plum, and licorice. The palate is medium-full bodied, with bluberry, plum, gravelly minerals, oak, nice tannnins, and a spiced finish. Overall pleasant and consistent with previous bottles.
