There’s some spice and saucy qualities as well. Med body, med acid, med tannin. Nicely integrated and showing more fruit on the palate. Showing more cassis and red and blue fruit on the nose. Med- body, med acidity, med+ tannin. It is drinking great and still quite youthful. Try again in a couple more years. Ruby red still. Rose, liqueur cherry and cream with a hint of sweet spices. Poured black. Full body, richness of dark fruit with very firm velvet tannins that you don't notice until the sides of your tongue register. Smooth full bodied St Emilion . Front palate and mid palate with dark plums. No cherry flavors discrrnable unless they are super ripe black cherries. . Back palate with aromatics of dark fruit trees. Decanted - surprising amount of sediment for the age and quite a wide clear rim. Colour very much purple. Nose a little muted - forest fruit and oregano. Beautiful plush Merlot palate - blend is 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet franc and 5% Cabernet sauvignon. Fruit forward with refined tannins providing a great structure. Theme: Old Bordeaux. 2023-04-01 Red colour with slight bricking. Nose with black currants and mint on top of tobacco, Bdx earth and plums. My blinded guess: St Julien... A bit simple in its general feeling. I fully enjoy the rather strict and restrained structure here. This one is open for the public now, but I wouldn't call it ready to go just yet. Fill just under cork. Good colour still red. Restrained bouquet more red (plum) fruits than black. Well balanced full flavoured good length. Tannins resolved.
