My #5 and the group #6. Guessed correctly as Pavie-Macquin. |

3/23/2024 - popopdrops Likes this wine: 92 pointsDekantert. Dette er den tøffeste årgangen jeg har smakt fra denne produsenten. Hakket før beist ved første glass, både nese og munn. Den roer seg raskt ned nedover i flasken. Alkoholstikk også, her er det for mye, men aksepteres. |

3/14/2024 - sempervinum Likes this wine: 95 pointsSlightly brickish with some brown. Incredibly complex aromas. Lots of fruit, some spices. Not perfumed. Just right. Balanced. Tannins and acidity are integrated. Stayed really long after the bottle was finished. More than an hour. 10 years ago this was quite closed but is now blooming. |

3/9/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 93 pointsBlac and red fruits, with loads of spices and fresh flowers in the nose is a great introduction to the wine. On the palate, the wine is vibrant, polished, lively, and, which is the perfect backdrop for all of its sweet, red fruits. The finish is packed with a blend of crushed rocks and red fruits. The wine blends 79% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2026-2048. |

2/17/2024 - Brent25 Likes this wine: 93 pointsClear medium garnet with lots of fine/medium sediment; clean medium plus nose of bruised fruit, dried cassis, balsamic and a pretty florality; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of leather and fennel; long finish; more developed than I was expecting; based on this bottle, I wouldn’t wait much longer to drink my other bottles; bruised fruit note lingered the entire evening and was a little off-putting; purchased at auction - off bottle? |

2/15/2024 - GuanYu Likes this wine: 93 pointsDark ruby red with pink rim. Blackcurrant, cassis, violet, capsicum, charcoal, liquorice. Dense and opulent. Bottle I tasted was still youthful and tight, but good potential in the long term. I would cellar it for a few more years before trying it again. |

2/9/2024 - WineWimpie Likes this wine: 97 pointsDark deep red in colour, much darker then what I would expect from a merlot heavy Bordeaux. Fantastic red fruit driven nose: cherry, black current, plum, … At first relatively high acidity for a 2005 but this faded after 1 hour decanting. Also initially quite fresh and subtile complex mouth. This came more ample, fruit and tobacco driven after an hour. Licorice and soft tannin aftertaste which lasts quite long. This wine is at its summit but will stay here for some years. What a blockbuster! Only side remark: the 15% alcohol starts to feel heavy after the 3rd glass … I was home alone 🙄… |

12/11/2023 - Romz Likes this wine: 93 points22.12.2023 - brought this our early Bday celebration at Akar TTDI. Uncorked at restaurant & decanted for 1.5hr. Nose; plum, red fruit, violet flowers, milk chocolate & licorice. Took some airing in the glass to open up more blue fruit & delicate cloves. Medium + acidity with opulent tannins considering such a young vintage. Palate; very refined & elegant with velvety structure & layers. Plenty of minerality & earthy notes at the finish |

2/4/2024 - LiteItOnFire wrote: 88 pointsFollow up From a coravin bottle- wine is still all about structure than the full potential- muting the middle against walls those walls of structure. Dark fruits- check. Dark earth and minerals- check. Loads of structure - high acid with the substantial tannins just beginning to soften and round but only just the beginning. Hold for a min of 5-7 years before opening the next one. Good potential down the road. Nap time for now. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (4) |

1/24/2024 - KeithAkers wrote: 91 pointsUGC 2021 Bordeaux (Vibiana, Los Angeles, CA): The nose here is fresh and lively with a berry-driven take to tones of red cherries, blueberries, red berries, raspberries, rose petals, kirsch liqueur, earth notes, tobacco leaf, and some cedary tones. There is good complexity here, but it lacks some depth that allows you to get sucked into the glass. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with medium acidity and somewhat chalky, medium tannins. This has a good bit to like right now, but it does lack in depth and quality of structure. This likely can benefit from cellar time to come into harmony, but the tannins are a bit underripe and may not truly resolve. |
