Needs some time to open. More savory than fruity with stemy notes with fennel, a slight peach note and huge granite like minerality. Dense and structured and a bit tight.

Nice nose, a bit complex Flowers, anise, and strawberry. On taste nice spine, with hint of sweetness which bothered me. I like it but a bit too neutral and sweet compared to previous versions. Still very nice with a short to medium finish. 'i always question the price point though. I think it is cheaper in France.

Pale salmon color. Refined and subtle on the nose, with gentle strawberry and raspberry fruit aromas and floral notes of rose petal and perfume. Dry and mineral on the palate, with just a hint of the fruit and a refreshing, bracing texture.

Wonderful. I wish I had more and could continue the Bandol rosé aging curve experiment. Complex aromas of fruit and savory elements that verge with air on the animal fur of aged red Bandol, and cinnamon. Perfect balance and grace on the palate, just lovely in texture. There is real potency that is based on good material, nothing artificial. Finish is long and spicy and snappy with acidity. Lovely lovely wine.

The last glass, poured from a decanter 4 hours after opening the bottle, was by far the best. Less rustic than previous bottles, this is still a tight wine that really needs air to open up. The fruit is dark toned, towards the brown end of the spectrum and there's marks of tobacco, black olives and meat. A serious wine, by no means heavy, just very complex, one that challenges the mind. Will certainly keep and may even improve with more cellar time.

There continues to be a bitter green note (stems? unripe seeds?) that continues to hold this wine back. The tannins don;t seem fully ripe but there are correct notes of sour red cherry and slight spice notes.

My first impression was very surprising as I was expecting more earthy and barnyard characteristics. This wine was much more on the fruity side with a big nose of black fruits with a slight touch of cinnamon. The mouth feel was very balanced between the alcohol and tannins. The palate contained dark plum, black cherries, and a hint of grilled steak. Overall, a very enjoyable bottle of wine that is now in its sweet spot for drinking.

Decanted for 2 plus hours, minimal nose and heavy tannin on the palate, very dry with limited fruit and some acidity. Purchased at the vineyard in 2007 and not quite as enjoyable as the fuller 2002.

Light pink salmon in color. Crisp. Smells like salt water. Watermelon, apricot, grapefruit. A long finish that evolves over time.

The nose was the most promising feature of this wine. There was a mix of earth and red cherry.
- The palate was very tired. The red cherry fruit is bitter and seems dried out and tired. The tannins are bitter and leave a bitter finish. Perhaps this needed more decanter time but the wine was bad enough that I didn't see the need for it. I'll try again with another bottle but this bottle was not good.

Opened two hours prior to tasting. Provençal herbs, game, iron, rare beef, and coffee—an extremely fragrant bouquet that just keeps giving. In the mouth, so incredibly tightly packaged. Absolutely fierce tannins, but a rush of acid keeps everything balanced and fresh. Strangely, this felt as approachable, if not more approachable, than the 1989 and 1990 old vines bottlings, both drunk within the last year. Fantastic quality for less than $40 a bottle. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Why does a wine's color matter—it just needs to smell and taste good, right? Normally I'd agree with this sentiment, but there's something about the color of Pradeaux's rosé, a beautiful copper/salmon, that significantly enhances the overall experience. Intoxicating aromas and flavors of toffee, ferrous notes, turned earth, honeysuckle, wild strawberries, vanilla hints, and dried honey. Tense acid. This made me long for an outdoor brunch with a Provençal herb omelette. Rated 2 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Could use a few more years in the bottle. Tannins were heavier at the end, but some blueberry on the nose and at the front of the pallate. Other than in need of some time, a very nice bottle made from a very old grape.

Enjoyed with Valentine's Day dinner 2015. Wow, what a unique little wine from a mostly forgotten about winegrowing part of France! This wine was full out ready to go from the start. Decanted for an extreme amount of sediment. The nose was black cherry and blackberry with lavender, herbs, and a tough of nitrogen. Thinking I was going to have a nitrogenous wine on my hands (like some of these little French winegrowing regions can produce!) I buckled down to prepare for the huge nitrogen notes and received none from start to finish! The front of this wine is black cherry tart on some occasions and blackberry on other occasions. Fleshy, kind of "purple" as this one turns to the mid-palate. This is maybe a touch flabby in the middle. But wow oh wow. This one finishes with these incredible cranberry and dried lavender notes among other mostly unidentified herbs in that wonderful, yet extremely unique, and rather tannic, finish. Can't ever say that I've had a wine like this. I have no idea how many more years this one has on it, but I would guess it probably has a few more with proper cellaring. I am very doubtful that this one will improve any more in the bottle, but considering I am quite ignorant to this region, I really can't say other than Drink Up!! Enjoy this one because it's in a good place right now!!

Sour cherries, earth and some floral notes on the nose. The palate didn't show as much; I though it lacked depth in the mid-palate and finished with the typical mouvedre tannins. I enjoyed the wine, but it wasn't overly complex or delicious.

Popped and poured. Beautiful deep garnet color with dark reflections. Needed air and time. Much better on day two. Eventually, it had a very complex and subtle nose of cherry and blueberry, licorice, leather, bramble and minerals, occasional light floral scents. Hints of sweet spices. In the mouth, strong minerals, strong acid, big tannins and alcohol. Very long and vinous, slight dustiness. Not an easy wine. I will buy more of this, but for drinking in 2020+. Right now, I would say that the whole is less than the sum of its parts.

Bandols (Trent's): One conclusion from this tasting was 2008 is a weaker vintage in Bandol. The nose is dusty with dark cherries. Very soft texture. Mild tannins. Cherries on the palate. Not much complexity.

I love older wines, but this one was well past its prime. Opened (pristine cork indicating that it had been well cellared) and poured into a glass 45 minutes before the first consumption. Little development over the next 45 minutes (2 glasses) and (after recorking) no change 6 hours later. Fading even further on the 2nd night, with little bouquet and some interesting flavours mid-palate. No acidity or finish (disappeared as soon as it was drunk), but leaving the mouth very dry (presumably from lingering tanins, although this isn't immediately obvious). Surely 2 - 4 years past its peak and, whilst not unpleasant, certainly not recommended. Don't be tempted to decant it or keep it.
