Little dry, stone/tropical/lime nose, subtly sweet, and very pleasant/easy to drink. Not overly complex. Basic on many levels. Not sure I'd purchase at the price tag-- better options exist.

An inviting nose of oak and black cherry. The palate does not disappoint with integrated dark fruits, tannin and acidity. It's good with or without food. The alcohol has mellowed but the wine maybe rather intense for some, so I wouldn't say a crowd pleaser but I haven't heard any complaints from those I have served it to, i always get compliments. Still worth a case, very good for the money. One caveat is that people who tend to like wines on the sweeter side probably won't appreciate this as much.

Petrol on the nose. More sweet than acid. A bit out of balance.

Good enough but far from great. Though, in all fairness, I had high-ish expectations. As well, an anticipated benchmark for its acidity & crispness, which was based on other varietals - namely the Pine Ridge Chenin-Viognier. Therefore, my impression is skewed. All things considered, if drank well chilled, one will garner moderate pleasure from this bottle of wine.

The nose shows dusty red fruits w/ some oak and vanilla. On the palate this wine I ready to drink ... Tannins are soft and mellow and acidity is beginning to fade. Showing concentrated black cherry and vanilla ... Oak is present but not overpowering. A relatively basic California cabernet but it drank well.

My final bottle of 8. Still showing nicely, but the slow decline over the years continues ... this was best when I first had it at El Gaucho, some time ago. It may drink fine for you over the next few years, but I'd start popping these now just in case.

We had this wine to with a steak dinner. From what we remember it is classic STE Cab Sauv Cabernet from Columbia Valley. Dense dark, ripe fragrant aroma's of dark cherries, cocoa and spices. The palate was rich and extremely well balanced flavors and tannins. Glad we have one more bottle to taste and looking forward to it.

Interesting blend with the bulk of it being Merlot and Syrah. First night showed jammy red fruits with a lush mouthfeel. Second night more spice driven with fruit in the background and felt a little thinner. Nice everyday drinker, wife thought it was okay.

Aroma is like anti-freeze. Slightly tart lime blends with pure sugars, then leads into something that tastes like a garden hose smells with some notable minerality. There is no further development from here.

Powerful currant, cassis, and black fruit aromas are laced with notes of earth, dark chocolate, and pencil lead. Dark and tightly wound, brooding yet balanced, this is long, concentrated, and very full in the mouth. Espresso, dark chocolate, and youthful tannin gain intensity on the tongue-staining finish. Will polish up nicely with time. Decant.

Had at the winery during the Chicago concert. This is a great bottle to end the evening with, after earlier wines may have tired your palate. The qpr is wonderful, and the wine is rich and deep enough to stand up to a long day of tasting. No complaints, especially at $15 a bottle.

Clear, bright yellow. Citrus, lemongrass notes. Palate starts with pineapple and citrus, with a distinct green/unripe fruit character on the mid-palate. High acid, may evolve as it settles down over time. Paired well with the clams, but not particularly distinctive.

Lovely aged ice wine. Dark golden and I was concerned it might be past prime. Rich flavors with sweet honey. Acidity was enough to clean it up.
Very nice.

Deep, glass-clinging ruby purple. Rich plum and glossy vanilla -- a bit more oak than I'm used to from this cuvée -- on the nose and palate. Full body. Soft tannins. Medium acidity. Probably should have been drunk younger. But still quite good.
