The taste was pure strawberry. But think ripe, sweet strawberries as opposed to tart. Very smooth mouthfeel. Elegant. The tannins come into play on the back of the palate. The finish was tart red fruit, with about a minute length. This is CA take on a Bordeaux blend, and I thought the Merlot characteristics really shine on this wine. I was very pleased with this, and look forward to drinking it again. |
