A nice wine with very good body and density. Uncorked to a light to medium cherry stain on the cork with minimal bleed, and poured a very dark crimson into the glass. Nose was tart raspberry and some black cherry. The entry is pretty much the same, but rather soft mouth feel on the entry to a medium/full bodied wine. The wine displays a little bramble (more of a mineral bramble vs. an earthy bramble) in the middle but overall maintains good dark red berry backbone characteristics with a hint of baking spice and cinnamon. The finish was a little sweet cedar oaked, black cherry dominant, but overall the tannin was soft at first, then dried as long as the wine sat on the palate, with black pepper finishing. Ate some spicy spaghetti and the pepper finish on this one played rather nicely. This one seems to have very good structure, and I feel that this one will go the distance to 2020. But, it is definitely ready and approachable to drink now with minimal decanting.

First time for with a straight cab franc. At first quite tight. After about 45 minutes, started to really improve. Nice long finish and soft tannins. Kinda pinot like. Very enjoyable.

Full bodied. Cassis is primary, along with spice, cocoa and coffee. Shows just a bit of finese toward the very end. Very good, but the fruit unbalances it at first. Better on day two. Give it a couple of years. Drink now-2018.

Nose: Well balanced with chocolate, dark red cherries, cassis, black currants, and some raspberry tones.

Taste: Full bodied with medium+ tannins and medium acidity. The feel is youthful, but balanced with dark red cherries, cassis, chocolate, and some raspberry tones.

Overall: This is delicious stuff. It is young, but this is really good right now.

Almost pure fruit, with just a subtle undercurrent of tannins. A mature wine in its prime.

This wine has rounded out a lot and deepened with more herbal qualities and forest floor giving more layers to the fruit, which is still there. Also, tannins are rounder but well integrated. A very enjoyable wine

Strawberry and roses on the nose. Mellow fruit on the palate and some great depth, but a bit lacking in acidity. A little later on, even deeper flavors and intrigue. Very Good.

Very unimpressive. I Generally find that willamette pinot's can rival burgundies. This one tried to rival a big Sonoma Zinfandel.

Nice syrah, although it took about an hour before the sweetness blew off (a bit). This wine is a little sweet up front for my tastes, but this is not a jammy syrah (thankfully). Atlast Peak fruit. Uncorked and served PNP. Poured a dark color into the glass. Nose was all black fruit, grilled meat, licorice. Finished deep and dark, and actually quite spicy on the finish with a note of dried lavender and herbs. I liked that this was not a jam bomb, and I expect this one to really lay down and gain complexity over the next 5 years. I almost want to buy another 6 bottles of this to see what it does. But I see this wine changing over the next few years and getting darker and more luscious, but I don't see it appreciating in rating.

Bold purple color in the glass. Dark berries abound on the nose (black cherries, blueberries, blackberries), underneath the fruit are aromas of earth, cedar, dried leaves and some roses. Full bodied but balanced by moderate acidity and dusty but firm tannins. Black cherries, red and black currant and blueberry fruit dominate, rich fruit but it tastes nice and tart. The wine is laced with elements of graphite, tobacco and cedar, an underlying mineral element. Long, silky finish with notes of mocha and vanilla. A beautiful wine, this will only get prettier and more refined with three or four years in the cellar.

Dark yet vibrant purple color. Deep nose: currants, blackberry jam, smells like you made a paste out of currant skins. Sexy aromatic display with notes of flowers, deep earth, granite and sweet pipe tobacco. Full bodied, firm tannins but they’re fined down around the edges, medium-low acid. Well-structured and full of black and red currant and cherry fruit, a moderate level of extraction. Significant toast and mocha, this is a delicious and hedonistic wine that coats the palate but finishes long and clean. I’d love to cellar this for five or six years because it’s got a lot of stuffing for the cellar and complexity to unpack. Just a bit young at the moment but a beauty.
