Good clean, easy drinking wine. Lemons and minerality. Well made. Missing some complexity.

Excellent showing. I think I like these best when young. Lots of zip, as would be expected. Going to need more of this.

PNP. Light color. super dense acid and chalky minerality match the dense fruit. this was amazing with our simple mussels
Day 3 (stored open in fridge) this is really showy with great fruit and less sharpness. really nice!

From a mag--It just became more and more crystalline the longer it sat, and by day two it was really singing. I would love to age this mid-term and get it at its most fresh and mineral and incisive point.

Magnum. Pale. Excellent salinity and stone to accompany underripe lemon. Dry but slightly creamier and rounder around the edges than usual. No complaints, though.

Marine/shellfish/mineral aroma - attractive depth and savoriness, gaining intensity with air in the bottle - with lemon juice and peel, touches of flowers and herbs, and fleeting cool, subtle stone fruit. Similar on the palate - seamless combination of marine/saline/limestone/metallic minerality with lemon/peel/herbs, deepening toward the finish, getting more briny, savory and complex. A touch bitter in the finish, making it even more refreshing and drinkable. Nice!

Has continued to improve since previous tasting a year ago. Similar experience, but wine has become even more open, with a touch more fruit (especially some pear that I had noticed last time). Even in its youth this wine didn't have the piercing acidity that I usually look for in a muscadet. But on the other hand, this is an incredibly well balanced wine with loads of minerality and an excellent finish.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-translucent light gold
-fairly muted
-barely med acidity, light weight but palate staining sappiness on complex mid-palate with ripe apple nutmeg/spice elements, moderately long finish
-fatter and almost lush for a Muscadet, not as much cut and focus of a typical Pepiere Briords but more complexity and richness, starting to reach maturity

From magnum. Following the smells I guessed this is a very simple SB. In any case a Muscadet. When warmed, cat pepee. Nothing elegant here. Palate is short and little acid. Didn't impress me at all.

De una magnum. Si seguimos los olores pensaría que es un savignon Blanc muy simplota. En ningún caso una Muscadet. Cuando se calentó, pipí de gato. No encontré nada elegante. La boca es corta y un poco ácida.
No me impresionó lo más mínimo.

30 min double decant, drank it bit warmer than I would have preferred. Nose a bit muted. Tasty but not very expressive on the mid-palate, but huge dose of salinity on the back end. Rating withheld as this wine didnt get the attention it deserved.

This has gone all to lobster broth and the aroma of fire ring stones the morning after the blaze, when the air has cooled the embers, and it's all an essence of rock and smoke. Really delicious right now.

A very leesy, minerally and grapefruity nose. Somewhat herbal and lactic, overall quite discreet. Quite weighty and full bodied on the palate with strong underlying acidity that has a spritzy edge to it. Surprisingly (12 %) comes off a bit hot, at least a bit too much so for my tastes. Aromatically fairly neutral (which I appreciate!), bordering on vegetal. Very intense with a strong presence, not evaporating nearly as quickly as let's say Les Gras Moutons or Clos des Briords. Matched quite well with pan-fried salmon but the very ripe Brillat-Savarin that followed basically killed the wine. Lacks the drinkability that I so value in the best Muscadet-wines.

Day4: Remembered about the bottle and decided to give it another shot before pouring down the drain. With plenty left in the bottle and no signs of oxidation the wine was singing. Very pure, bright and floral on the nose, extremely fresh on the palate without the heat that had bothered me before. Still vibrantly acidic with nice newfound airiness. Calm and collected. Who would have thought?

Dry, nutty, salty minerals, gray pear on the nose, on the palate green apples, finely tuned acidity, creamy undertones. Light and bright, nice with seafood or white fish.

A broad and fruity version of this essential wine. Lees, mineral and citrus on the nose. Good body for a basic muscadet, with high acidity embedded in extract, and a fairly long, fruity and salty finish. More than drinkable now, this vintage will repay short to medium-term cellaring.

WSET II; 10/23/2010-10/24/2010 (Portland, ME): Pale+ lemon color. Initially, a light-intensity lemongrass nose becomes medium intensity with some air. Light to medium body, medium-plus acidity. Lemon, grass, with a bready and bitter finish.

MuscaDay 2015: A more bold and forward appeal (obviously, still tons of minerals, ocean spray and brine), but some orange, apple and candied lemon. Seems to be opening up, I'd love to try this again in two-to-four years.

Shining light green color. Nose of honeydew, straw and river stone. Medium body. Citrus, lime, grapefruit, and sea shell in the mouth. The finish is quite intriguing, very Chablis. Drinking well on the first two days, dissolved on the third. While enjoying this, make sure you have some seafood and shells on your hand, or you will be deeply regret.
