Late night at home with neighbourhood friends. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of stony earth, dark red cherries. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sour red cherries, dark red cherries, dark red plums, fresh stony earth, whole bunch spices. Long spicy finish.
Very good quality. Very drinkable and whole bottle was finished, although still very much early days for this Vosne village. Should perform well as it develops over the next few years.

Better than the last bottle, on hour of pre-opening helped. Noticeable brett note providing complexity to the red and dark fruit. Good freshness, light bodied but not thin at all. Good Vosne village

More complex fruit plate coming through here with plenty of red and black fruits, spiced, floral, and nuanced already, even if they aren't working together at this moment. An understated Grand Cru, there is a lot here that can come together into something special, but it's not completely clear wine right now, 91-94 point potential.

Very dark in color. Plenty of floral fragrance here, smells very elegant. Almost dark plummy, with plenty of power. Very nice.

Typical Vosne spice on the nose together with a mix ripe red fruit and some black fruit. The nose was quite open and complex however I detected a bit too much ripeness for my liking. I also sensed some iron ore on the nose?
Very balanced and pleasant on the palate with structure and good acidity to keep everything in check. it certainly got better after 30 minutes or so in the decanter.
I would wait 3-5 years before drinking the next.

Distinctively funky nose with lots of farmyard, red fruit, earthy elements. Good structure and mid mouth fill for a 2017 village. Tannins are young, but of good quality. Decent for its level. I would give it 3-4 more years in bottle.

Pretty nose. Dried cherry, dried cranberry, a touch of vanilla, floral and some iron notes as well.
Med+ body, med acidity, med tannin.
This is a gem that is drinking great right now. The finish is a little short but otherwise a great bottle that should improve with some air. Enjoy over the next 5+ years.

Fantastic nose - so expressive and open showing ripe red berry fruit, spices, hints of undergrowth, minerality. Very delicate and pure. On the palate again pure and soft, good acidity, notes of spices, good fruit. Harmonious with good structure and very decent length. Showing beautifully; no rush to drink up, but probably not going to improve a lot either. 92-94

This is a bit past it but very enjoyable. Lovely bright colour.
Lovely old burgundy nose, mushroom, spice, herbs, pure cherry fruit, gently complex.
Surprising freshness and vigour on the attack, more nice cherry fruit that is clearly fading but still there.
Some oak influence on the finish which is fresh.
This is a gently fading wine which is nonetheless still harmonious and a delight to drink.
