Very truffly in fact. Just a bit twiggy. Nicely evolved on the palate, offers very good drinking now and for several years ahead. |

Paired amazingly perfectly with cacio e pepe. The finish went on and on with the pepper! Also paired really well with short ribs and buttery mashed potatoes. And paired really well with a poached lobster, mango, red pepper, and avocado dish. I hope people still have a few of these in their cellar! |

As the evening went on the wine developed into a more traditional aged Barolo. It had some baked cherry, coco, cola and leather. |
