Decanted for 30 minutes. Bramble and cedar notes the nose. One-dimensional wine with rough fruit/oak integration and little complexity. Disappointing expression of Washington syrah. Not a good QPR either.

Nice WA Merlot for $20. It has some decent structure and fruit. This is a good one to have around for an everyday bottle of wine.

Dork No Rhone tasting. Ringer? Sweet and ripe as would be expected for '03. Definitely new world with some age. Pleasant but wouldn't hold these any longer.

Dark fruit on the nose, medium body, smooth, medium finish, light on the tannins for a cab, good table wine.

Medium golden color with a slight greenish tinge; appealing, apple-scented nose. Medium-bodied, a bit of oak immediately asserts itself on the palate; I don't consider this to be over-oaked, but some might. At any rate, while not overly fruity, there are definite apple and peach flavors present. Medium finish with a fine degree of acidity. Nicely balanced, and will age for a few years, with possible improvement, once the oak softens a bit. A good choice for those who like their Chardonnay dry and oaky - like I do. This is really a nice effort, and better than many more expensive wines. Recommend.

Sharp alcohol aroma with a deep purple color. Blackberry and oak with an earthy undertone. Medium finish. Good with triple cream cheese.

Drink now! Started in 2012 when it was hot with the 14.5% alcohol. Now on the tail end and starting to loose a bit of fruit but WOW has it integrated nicely. Blueberry is the dominant aroma. Blueberry, cherry and cherry with some vanilla flavours. Balanced, round, smooth. Slightly sweet making it the perfect accompaniment for roast lamb tonight. Smooth medium finish. My wife usually reacts to sulphites but is fine with this wine. She has officially declared it her favourite wine ever. I would not quite go that far but it is very delicious. Drink now if you have it. My last bottle.

Fruity nose and fruit forward. Tannins were not overwhelming but they were evident. Notes of cherry and black fruit, chocolaty with some earthiness. Nice finish. Good wine for a lighter meal, would probably be overwhelmed by a big savory meal.

Great fruit purity here. Lots of of fresh blueberry-raspberry, vanilla and pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied and fairly seamless. There's a little off-putting acidity here, but everything really opens and softens nicely after a few minutes in the glass.

Tasted the 2009 and the 2010 side-by-side at Total Wine. The 2009 blew me away and I found a bottle to take home in the bin. But, when I went back for more, they were out of the 2009. Found more at another store location and purchased and drank. YUM!! Full-bodied. Vanilla notes. Will buy more to stock up as my budget permits!

Sweet blackberries, blueberries, olive brine, deli shop, earth, charcoal, herbs, mulberries, raspberries, and a little cedar on the nose. Blackberries, saline, black cherries, herbs, tart cherries, and earth on the palate. Juicy acidity, nice firmness, long-ish finish. I was a bit skeptical because a salesperson at Total Wine suggested that it tasted like a wine twice the price. Well, they were pretty correct. It might lack the density of some more expensive syrahs, but it's pretty impressive for the price.

If you have this drink it now. Still good but starting to thin a bit. Alcohol heat has decreased significantly.

Tastes pretty fruity to me, but I didn't decant for 3 hours. The finish gives the impression that this is a syrah/grenache blend, although its 100% syrah.
