Excellent balance between fresh apricot and sage. Hint of hazelnut on the finish. Missing some zippy acidity but I'm guessing it was there on day one, I'll find out when I open my other bottle. Buy again from Føtex on offer Klassisk Pinot Gris fra Alsace – rig fyldig og næsten overdådig i munden. I glasset har den en brilliant gylden farve med platin-reflekser, og bouqueten afslører noter af små gule frugter og mandler og udløser hints af pære og fersken. Ved første sip er vinen smidig og frisk og afslører frugtige strejf af fersken, abrikos og hasselnød, med et sidste touch af citron. En meget smagfuld vin med flot syrebalance og en eftersmag med melon, krydderier og en anelse røg. Bør drikkes ung for at få det fulde udbytte af de rige aromaer. The palate shows a fine mousse and full-layered textures. Acidity is crisp and moderate-plus. Phenolics are moderate. Flavors of pear, white peach, and green apple. Crisp acidity, Med + finish. Fine bubbles. Well made - Love the price point! Technical data: Pinot Blanc / ABV 12.1% / Residual Sugar: 8.8 g/L The wine is made through traditional methods, manually harvesting the grapes. At 12 years old it was drinking beautifully. Color was golden hued Nose had some petrol and rich sweet elements. Palate was layered, complex and lovely. The acidity was spot on, the wine was off dry but crisp on the finish, the complex interplay between fruit, secondary petrol elements and the acid backbone was wonderful. Sadly, my last bottle. Lots of tropical fruit citrus and mineral on the nose. Nice viscosity in the mouth. The fruit flavors really open up on the palate.
