Apple, lemon and spice on the nose. Opened at 48F and showed its best at 52F. The cooler temperature brought out the apple, lemon, pear and green melon notes through the middle while the warmer temperature allowed the tropical fruit notes to shine and the wine overall to show a bit richer. The wine is fully dry and a great example of an American version of a spatlese troken. Really good acidity throughout and especially on the mineral driven finish. Overall, the wine shows great complexity and body and while dry, it's not mouth-puckeringly acidic. Should age quite well and further time should show additional improvement.

This is a wine that is almost gulp-able it's delicious factor is off the charts. While it may not be wildly complex it is very VERY easy to love. Vibrant fruit, the tell-tale signs of light bell pepper on the nose and vibrant notes of boysenberry & blueberry on the palate. The bottle from start to finish did not last 2 hours...Excellent

I think RGCM Gananda nailed it with their description of this wine. I was not able to taste this at the winery and bought it blindly...given how wonderful their Cuvée Brut was...this was a significant let-down. This presents as a simple, strait forward bubbly that offers clean fruit but almost no complexity on the nose or palate. I would not be buying this again. At the $40 price-point there are actual Champagnes that offer more complexity and value than this does.

Pale straw color, no imperfections. Aromas of ripe mango, pear, peaches, nectarine, honeysuckle. On the palette, medium acidity, medium minus alcohol, stone fruits, honeydew melon. Long clean finish

I have to say that I really enjoyed this. There's some complexity on the nose with brioche, apples, and citrus. On the palate there's a nice balance between acidity and body. I'd gladly buy again as long as it stays in the $30 range.

Bubbles for NYE and very nice ones at that. This was crisp and refreshing and easy. Our first sparkling wine from the Finger Lakes and it did not disappoint. Good value for the price.

purchased at winery.

acidic and zesty style Cab Franc that highlights the grapes trademark aromas and drinks great young.

sharp and racy on opening, but comes into its own after 30 mins in the glass.

medium bodied but the structure makes it seem leaner. Prickly, almost effervescent acidity slices through the juicy mouth wetting tannins. like a cru beaujalais, it's electric on the palette but easy to guzzle. very subtle oak.

rich floral nose of spring flowers, asian spices, bell pepper and a loamy minerality.

clean and pure red fruit on the palate. pomegranate, cherry cough drop, and crushed raspberry. the spritzy acidity amplifies the cola and red fruit but are balanced with more savory green pepper, asian spice, and red clay notes.

one of my favorite Finger Lakes cab francs. the minimal oak presence and energetic structure make it closer to Lorie Chinon, then Mendoza or California Cab Francs. other Finger Lakes CF's i've tasted (ravines, damiani, red tail) opt for the more ripe and oaky new world style.

The QPR is not phenomonal (~$20-25) but if enjoy Cab Franc for it's green aromatics and lighter structure, this won't disappoint. I think this is best enjoyed young (2015-2017)

Pale straw color. Nose of golden apple, a hint of lime zest and some subtle floral aromas. Apple and pear flavors on the palate with a bit of citrus and a nice underlying streak of wet stone and minerality. Medium+ acidity with a nice, crisp mouthfeel and decent finish. Clearly identifiable as riesling and an enjoyable version of one at that. Paired well with spicy indian food.

Truly phenomenal in every way - this will not disappoint. Showing notes of honeysuckle, melon, and pear. Beautifully textured, balanced acidity and overall structure. Long, lingering finish. Drinking beautifully now, but I will hang on to my last bottle for a little while longer. 95 pts. PJP 2015.

A fantastic, complex Finger Lakes Riesling - a testament to this region's achievements and potential. It's showing notes of honey, melon, and pear. Beautifully balanced acidity and overall structure. Showing well now, but I will hang on to my last bottle for another couple of years, at least. 92 pts. PJP 2015.

Golden in color without sediment. On the nose was completely wacky! Initially hit with warm butter? This burned off followed by floral notes, slight bit of melon but with a little salinity? Weird. Then it started to have notes of burnt fireworks. I must admit, the aromas were completely intriguing. However, the palate didn't really support a 90 pointer. Medium weighted with present acidity and medium long finish. Just didn't quite wow me. Might have been interesting to try again in another couple years.

Wonderful floral and spice notes on the nose. On the light side of medium bodied. Peach mixed with pear through the middle with a hint of lemon on the finish, all bound up with strong lavender notes. Middle does gain some richness, I just wish there was a bit more acidity on the finish. All the flavor notes are there, with a stronger backbone, this would be a really impressive wine. Without that acidity, this wine still drinks quite well now and is actually quite enjoyable, but I would drink it in the next year or so as I don't think it will age and will only fade, rather than improve with time.

Tasted at the winery. Darker fruit notes along with forest floor on the nose. Medium bodied and the acidity seemed fully in balance with the fruit, leading to a very smooth wine. Mostly darker fruit notes upfront, blending in just a bit of redfruit towards the finish. The forest floor/earthiness was especially noticeable on the finish. I was surprised by how much life this wine had left. It's fully in balance, but the fruit, while soft, rather than bright and focused, hasn't faded yet. I would drink this in the next year or so before that starts to happen.

Tasted at the winery. Redfruit, cola and earth on the nose. Nearly medium bodied with good richness for a Finger Lakes pinot. Red cherry and strawberry upfront with nice earthiness, spices and some structure on the finish. It seems a little tight and given how the 2008 version that we tasted next showed, I think this should really be held for another year or so to allow it to fully express itself.

Tasted at the winery. Strawberry and toast on the nose. More body than the 2009 Blanc de Blanc and a bit more complex and smooth as well. Strawberry and light red cherry through the middle with very nice mineral qualities through the finish. I thought it was clearly well made (no major flaws jumped out at me) and showed nicely overall, just not great QPR.

Tasted at the winery. The most aromatic nose of the Wiemer reislings with varied floral and tropical fruit notes. A bit above medium bodied and made in an auslese style. Very nice richness and depth, showing off the honey, peach and tropical fruit flavors in the middle and the mineral qualities and balancing acidity on the finish. Impressive richness for a Finger Lakes riesling. While this is a sweeter wine, the acidity lends enough structure to give this wine focus and purity. Based on the sweetness alone this wine should last for several years and I'll be interested to see how this style evolves.

Tasted at the winery. Orchard fruit on the nose, which overall was slightly less pronounced than the Magdalena or the Dry Reserve Riesling. Apple and pear upfront, along with varied other orchard fruit notes in the background. More tropical fruit qualities become evident towards the finish along with spices, mineral notes and excellent acidity. Exceptional blend of fruit through the middle, that when coupled with the acidity, really sang. This wine felt like an acidity driven spatlese, rather than a troken style. Based on where the fruit and acidity are currently, I suspect this wine will improve over the next few years.

Tasted at the winery. Tropical fruit and floral notes on the nose. Richer than the Magdalena, but with a similar fruit profile of tropical fruit backed by apple, melon and pear. Mineral/slate/stone notes on the lengthy finish, acidity driven finish. The highlight of this wine was the acidity and how it transformed this richer style of riesling into a Finger Lakes version of spatlese troken. Medium bodied and with arguably more complexity and depth than even then Magdalena, as well as better balance between the fruit and the acidity and more acidity overall. Really impressive dry riesling which should continue to improve for several years and have a long life ahead. Given that 2013 was a weaker vintage, I'd love to try the 2010 version of this wine, or the 2014 when it's released!

Tasted at the winery. Varied tropical fruit notes on the nose. Very young currently and showcasing tropical fruit notes upfront, adding in apple, melon and pear towards the back. Excellent acidity through the middle and especially into the finish, deftly balancing the fruit and allowing this somewhat richer style to still come off as dry. I suspect this wine will score higher in the future as the acidity and fruit work together to bring out additional complexities.

Tasted at the winery. This is the oldest Finger Lakes riesling I've ever tasted and shows just how long a quality wine from this region will last. Floral, spice and minerals on the nose which was similar in profile to the 2014, but softer and yet, more complex aromatically. Soft fruit upfront with apple and varied tropical fruit, but the balancing acidity kept this firmly in the dry style. Medium bodied and fully smooth and integrated, the fruit was soft, rather than bright but the acidity balanced it perfectly so the wine felt complete rather than fading. Based on where the fruit and acidity are today, this wine should continue to drink at this level for another couple of years before it finally starts to fade.

Tasted at the winery. Floral, spice and minerals on the aromatic nose. Starts off with the more tart notes of lime and citrus, adding in orchard fruit notes, (especially apple) and finishing with rounding mineral/slate qualities. The highlight of this wine was the level of acidity and how well it balanced with the fruit, especially on the finish. Perhaps just a touch less complex than I would've liked, but still a very good Finger Lakes riesling and one that should improve and last for several years.
