2/17/2024 - Fatdoi Likes this wine: 93 pointssadly no time to decant, still a fire breather from start, strong berry hit in the face with spices and coffee... through out the night it stayed really strong, smoother but still full body from start to finish |

12/5/2023 - Psdycp wrote: 95 pointsThe bouquet and palate are complexly concentrated and forward with layers of ripe black raspberries and plums, violet, toasted sweet spices of liquorice, clove and star anise, earthy black peppers and dried bay leaves. Rich and fresh at the same time. Polished texture. Full-bodied mid-palate, transiting nicely into a long, dense but clean finish. A touch of Amarone traits given the process of fermenting semi-dried grapes. Let this breathe for a while before drinking. A few more years will be even better. This is build to last for up to 20 years of drinking window. 95-96 pts |

11/2/2023 - ta75 Likes this wine: 91 pointsReally big wine. A toasty oak note was present that was a bit off putting. The last glass was the best so I can tell this should age, but not sure what it will become. Nice wine, not sure about the value proposition. |

9/24/2023 - yaanik Does not like this wine: 86 pointsVery aromatic, with dried black and red berries, caramel, rum raisin. Tobacco. Fresh acidity on palate to balance the oxidative quality, but too much residual sugar which ultimately makes this wine taste too port-like at this point in its life. |

8/8/2023 - R J Lewis wrote: NRStriking aromas - to my mind they had more in common with high quality Clare/Eden Valley Riesling than Viognier. Taught, waxy, some kerosene. On the palate very clean and fine, though as the wine warmed up those developed notes just mean that the wine began to fall apart. Very pleasurable, a bit idiosyncratic, not for keeping much longer. |

4/30/2023 - Redwineobsessed Likes this wine: 93 pointsMagnum. Decanted for 5 hours before tasting. Paired with black Angus T-bone and porterhouse. Good nose with the Viognier lift. Dark fruit and floral. On the palate it defies its 16% plus alcohol. |

2/6/2023 - graemeg wrote: NR{screwcap, 15.4%} Radioactive deep red. Lifted blackberry/blueberry aromas. Not too oaky. Palate is about a mass of super-ripe flavours, blue and black per the nose, full-bodied thanks to the alcohol, with medium but overwhelmed acidity and low gritty tannins of anonymous cast. Medium/full in weight, but with patchy presence on the palate, culminating in a medium length, rather fumey finish. Decent example of the full-throttle style, best within 2-3 years I reckon. |

1/2/2022 - nwebstar Likes this wine: 94 pointsDifferent experience to others as we (dinner party group) experienced this wine as more refined than others (notes). It wasn’t quite shy and elegant but more seemed held together (and nicely restrained) by a firm structure - even came across a bit more Cabernet=esque in this regard. From sheer enjoyment factor perhaps deserved another point. Dark and red fruits (berries and plums), integrated, spices - powerful but a certain coolness from structure. Years in it still. |
